He can’t take it anymore. Everything that he worked for, all for it to be for nothing at all. Why did he think Bruce would avenge him? Prove that he loves him? Why couldn’t Bruce kill the Joker? If Batman, the self-proclaimed protector of Gotham couldn’t, why couldn’t Bruce Wayne, his unofficial adoptive father do it? Bruce is the one who compartmentalizes the two identities and acts like they’re different people. If Batman couldn’t kill Joker, why can’t Bruce?
He feels something roll down his face, and that’s when Jason realizes that he’s crying. His plan didn’t work. Months, if not years of planning for an ending he fully believed in—gone. Destroyed. What was he going to do now? Kill Joker himself? Jason doesn’t know. He doesn’t know. He can’t deal with life right now, and if anything, he wishes that building killed him.
That’s when it clicks. He doesnt have to keep going. He has a way out. He just has to make it to the kitchen.

Jason Todd is resurrected as a Ghoul. Plucked from his grave only to descend back upon Gotham with a new found hunger, for not only vengeance, but also flesh. He deals with it the best way he can, putting of his hunger until it devours him itself. But that doesn't work for long, as everyone has to eat eventually.

He pulled his hand away and moved it over to Wukong’s chest, fingers ghosting over the pec underneath his chest plate. “You have no idea how much I want to,” he confessed, the desperation raw in his tone. His fingers curled into Wukong’s chest plate, tugging on it gently as if he wanted to tear it off. “To ruin you, break you down until you’re mine in every way.”
Wukong swallowed thickly. His throat was dry as he tried to focus, but his mind was clouded, hazy from both the blood loss and the intensity of Macaque’s bloody gaze. Macaque’s instincts were screaming, and Wukong could feel it in every touch, every growl that rumbled from his chest. His hand trembled as he reached up, fingers brushing against Macaque’s wrist before cupping his hand closer to his cheek.
His breath hitched as his lips brushed against Macaque’s. He whispered, his voice hoarse and shaky, “Then… what are you waiting for?”
