Summary
“We won!” It’s not subtle, but neither is Thatcher. He runs up, arms out, ready to lift someone up in a hug. Jackson, with the mustache a mile long, is the lucky guy, despite inches of height and pounds of weight over Thatcher.
Jackson’s grin splits his face and looks good doing it. “We won!” He calls it back, like an echo.
We won.
Boone doesn’t hold in his own grin. Years lost, men lost, but they won. His laughter joins the others, and he reaches out and tugs the closest one into a hug as well.
Men cry, but no one talks about that. Boone cries and he won’t mention it later.
Fox holds him in a hug. He’s smaller, but his grip is tight and the tears are real. Boone knows him well enough to know. He can feel the wetness on his own shirt. He’s felt that wetness before.

This is not a happy story. This is not a fair story. These characters do not happy healthy heal one another.
But they're flawed individuals who make do with what they have. Unfortunately for both of them, that's only each other.

Summary
A series of mostly stand alone pieces that weave together in a greater narrative.
Benny always said not to throw the dice until you'd finished rigging the odds. Benny said a lot of things. Some things come back to bite Benny in the ass, but that never stopped him from getting up and trying again.
Major Knight just wanted to have one single night in New Vegas, carefree. But the cards just didn't turn up that way.
Courier just wanted to make as many things right as he could. But he's one man, he can't everything. Lately, it feels to his own judgment that he can't do anything.
They don't get much of a choice, but they make the choices they can anyway.

Bruce, clad in a black bathrobe, looked up from his microscope. A disembodied penis, from its place on the table, raised its head too.
They appeared to regard one another then Bruce turned to shake his head at Alfred.
“No.”
“‘No’?”
“No, I don’t have a good explanation.”
Alfred paused in thought. “Well.”Bruce is politely poked in the cheek by a flying dick one night. Hijinks, and more worldbuilding than you can shake a dick at, ensue.
