Essentially it's an ISAT Universe but with Fear and Hunger realities. Or in other words; ISAT but what if all the main characters as well as the world around them are fundamentally broken and trauma'd. No real Fear&Hunger knowledge needed in order to understand what is happening, since everything is thoroughly explained in specific chapters.

Seeing it in person makes my throat tighten.
I’m glad I’m alone. I can’t control the slight tremble in my hand and I’m not sure if it’s fear or grief, but there's something bubbling under my chest.
Grace died over a decade ago. I killed him. I know that.
I’ve had 26 years to sit alone in a cell with that. That and every other outcome.
But for some reason instead of touching the beetle I’m frozen wondering if perhaps Grace had touched it too.

Siffrin, trapped in the endless time loops, gives up on his original goal. Why bother following the same script every loop? It’s not like their or their party's actions will change the fate of Vaugarde and their dilemma. Maybe, just maybe a different approach will work.
