Summary
Peter Parker is nothing. He used to be something, mean something, and then he fucked up. He had everything, the whole world; two best friends, his Aunt May, and even a new budding father-like figure in Tony Stark. Now, though? He had nothing.
No more late night lab visits with Mr. Stark, hacking into government websites and building new stupid nanotech bots that vacuum the floor only if you beg it and sound like a certain Captain, or robots that twisted in all angles like infinity cubes to play ultimate twister with. No more study sessions with MJ, listening to old punk rock bands and doodling in the margins. No more lego building with Ned, building and taking apart and building that Lego Death Star dozens of times in his bedroom.
And, worst of all, no Aunt May to wake him up on his bad days with a worried frown on her lips and a fresh hot chocolate in her hands to warm him.

Peter Parker ends up in Gotham, an alternative universe, with soulmates and weird smells.

Summary
After Thanos and losing Mr. Stark, then Aunt May a few months later and erasing any memory of himself, Peter has finally settled into his new life. That was until Parker Luck struck again and he was dragged through a portal and landing in an unfamiliar city. However, Peter was good at dealing with whatever Parker Luck threw at him. He was Spider-Man, and he always got back up.
It's hard to get up when a crowbar is slammed against your face by a clown that wants to take you home.
Or: Another Peter in Gotham story, but instead of the Bats finding Peter, he meets the Joker first.

Summary

His young boy stolen at the age of three. The only thing left of him being the wrinkled photographs of his mangled body. The smallest caskets are always the heaviest. And Tony's been drowning ever since. James Buchanan Barnes has never loved war. He didn't join the army during WWII because he was wanted to. He didn't love being tortured and brainwashed into Hydra's ranks. No, James Buchanan Barnes hated war. Everything was stolen from him. After he fell, he thought he could finally gave some peace in death. Even that was taken away. He spent decades with monsters that only saw him as less than. The only good thing there being a young mutant he shared a cell with. Even that was taken away. Now he was free, but not of the battle raging through his mind.

When the Avengers find themselves clearing a base lodged deep within the rocky mountains of Colorado, they didn't expect to find much life; let alone one that presented itself as fully operational, one harboring weapons and people and a 16-year-old boy sealed deep within its titanium walls.
Damn it all, what greater a team bonding exercise than adopting and raising a brainwashed teenage assassin?

The soldier didn't startle — it had long been beaten out of him — but he did turn his head curiously.
The small boy wasn't Stevie. Whoever Stevie was. He was as small, and as angry — the soldier could see it twitching under his skin like muscle spasms — but his hair was black and his skin tan. Nothing like Stevie's pale Irish complexion and blonde hair.
“Shit,” the boy said again. “You just took them out. With three punches. Fuck.”
The last person the soldier spoke to had been Captain America. Steve.
And he might have been a brain damaged, amnesiac assassin but even he could figure out that Steve and Stevie were probably the same person.
And that this child was neither.
