Whatever it was scaring Prince Zuko, apparently Sokka understood it, too. Shyu could hear the boy’s nervous gulp from across the brig.
If it could scare the Avatar’s companion and the crown prince, Shyu knew it must be terrifying.
“I have some questions about the Avatar,” Zhao drawled as he stood before Sokka’s cell. “And you will answer them if you know what’s good for you.”
Despite the mounting fear in his eyes, Sokka lifted his chin in desperate defiance as he crossed his arms and stood upright. “And when I don’t answer them?”
Zhao smiled.
Sokka tried to rescue Sage Shyu from the collapse of Roku's temple. Instead he, Shyu, and Zuko were all captured by Commander Zhao.
And Zhao never wastes an opportunity.

Summary
Genya's life has never been easy. So, when rumors about him and his ability to eat demons begin to circulate the Demon Slayer Corps during Hashira training, he shrugs it off as just another rock in his path.
But when Sanemi gets wind of the danger Genya's in, things begin to change. The brothers are faced with the challenge of reconnecting after years of being apart. Genya struggles in the oppressive silence of the forest, consumed by a new-found hunger that gnaws at him from within. His body betrays his torment. Fangs pressing to his lip, claws twitching, eyes blazing unnaturally as veins creep outward as the urge to tear into flesh and blood consumes him. His mind reels between desperate restraint and the overwhelming urge to feed, terrified not of demons, but humans. The forest seems to hold its breath with him, fragile and tense, until he can no longer bear it. So, he runs without a destination, the truth is... He's running from himself. Scared and in denial of the monster he had become.
