Brown hair in uneven pigtails. Pale skin, almost too pale, a softness to her features that belonged to someone who had not yet learned the weight of the world. She was standing at the edge of Violet’s crib, staring down at her with an intensity that Violet couldn’t quite place. It was strange. People usually smiled when they looked at babies, cooed, and made a show of how precious they were. But this girl didn’t smile. She didn’t coo. She just stared.
Violet blinked, her little lashes fluttering like a trapped bird. She didn’t know why, but something low in her stomach curled, a slow, insistent twist.
The name the girl spoke was a word that felt as foreign as it was familiar.“Hi,” she said after a long pause, her voice hesitant but curious. “I’m Petunia.”
Violet's heart beat louder, faster. Her mind recoiled, but there was no way to make sense of it. She didn’t know this child. She couldn’t place her, couldn’t name her, couldn’t even remember ever seeing her before—but the name Petunia... it didn’t belong here. It didn’t belong to this house, to this life, to this strange body.

re-telling of Marauder era with original female character. Series will eventually go all the way from Marauders First year at Hogwarts to the end of Deathly Hallows.
First Book is Hogwarts years. Second will be during the first War (and some of the after math) and Third the events of the Harry Potter books from the viewpoint of remaining Maurauders. (also a mini book in between)
All three (and a half) books are complete...although I am constantly going back and making occasional changes.
Obviously they start off as children, but stick with it for eventual love and war drama!

1. The midwest really isn’t as bad as people make it seem. You can experience every season to its full extent in a year. People are friendly, for the most part (she’s looking at you, Jim Hopper). And, the landscapes really are beautiful if you know where to look.
2. Steve Harrington uses too much hairspray. Really, nobody’s hair should stick up that straight. She swears it was somewhat contained last year, but now it looks like he discovered what a can of aerosol hairspray can do and ran with it. Yes, she’s aware she needs to stop thinking about Steve Harrington’s hair, but it’s distracting. She can’t help it.
3. There is something going on in Hawkins, Indiana, and the more she finds out about it the more she wants to redact number one. Okay, maybe certain was too strong of a word.

This puts her at constant odds with her stepbrother, Billy Hargrove, who blames her for uprooting his life and loves nothing more than control.
Billy and Mallory’s battles have always been brutal, but this time, Mallory is dangerously outmatched, because Billy has figured out her greatest weakness: she will do anything to keep Max safe.
