He was tense and avoiding eye contact up until now, clearly uncomfortable but still resistant, but freezes in place as realization suddenly dawns. Those sea-foam eyes snap to Negan’s, then immediately retreat from the lecherous intent they find there and Daryl audibly swallows down a lump in his throat. Negan watches the swell of his adam’s apple jut out from his throat and resists the urge to dig his teeth into the tanned flesh. He cups a hand over a stubbled cheek and drops his voice to a whisper, “Play your cards right, and you might just have the potential to one of my favorites.”

They go camping in the woods just as the Zombie Apocalypse is in the beginning stages. Rick and friends encounter dangerous and harrowing situations on their way to finding sanctuary in Alexandria, Virginia. But their sanctuary is short lived as Negan and his gang finds the town and takes it over. Rick is taken prisoner by Negan and Maggie is taken as one of Negan’s wives. Rick and his people must find a way to win their freedom and the town back.
