This is the only kind of story I ever really wanted to write.
(....It's very simple and straightforward. It will examine a series of letters V addresses to Judy months after their final conversation from the hospital, sometime in the fall of 2079 and continuing for approximately the next year or so. These missives are Valerie’s attempts to maintain her fractured relationship with her leelou bean. V hasn’t had time to fall out of love and as a result, so many emotions are hitting her at the same time. Maybe the letters are the only way for her to cope with the trauma of losing her one, true love. Whether or not V ever shows them to Judy is unknown. What is known is that Jude intuitively feels the currents of the past. Of her first love. Temperate, turbulent breezes that remind her of the best and worst times of her life.)
Her marriage to Bianca isn’t quite what she thought it would be. Theirs is a volatile relationship, filled with the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. Judy misses Valerie and isn’t sure how to come to terms with her true emotions.
As time moves and Valerie writes, she grows up…. In more ways than one.
But will Judy ever know how much her calabacita still loves her?

After waking up from a two-year coma, a wayward, aimless Valerie returns (Relic-free) to Night City and is slowly swallowed up by the worst the city has to offer. As she tumbles further and further towards rock bottom, she very nearly squanders her second chance. The only thing that keeps her sane is the timely intervention of a close, former friend. Months later, V sets off on a path of redemption. To rediscover the beauty in herself, first and foremost. But will her journey also culminate with recapturing her first, best love - Judy Alvarez?
....And what will Jude think of all this? She's happily married to Bianca and living a very successful life in Pittsburgh. She's moved on from Night City and the pain of losing Valerie is just a distant echo in her heart. Has she forgotten her calabacita or will she fall in love with her all over again?
