Summary
Once a professional thief, the now retired Gia has to adjust to motherhood after her son comes to stay with her for his last year of high school. But what happens when her criminal past resurfaces and threatens to break the peaceful life and family she so desperately wants to keep together?
Growing up with a detective in the house, Luca had to learn how to lie well at a very young age. He also learnt how to notice things, which is why he catches on to his mom’s criminal past almost as soon as he gets to Boston. Of course, that’s not the only reason. He has to deal with moving to a new city to live with his previously distant mother, and during his last year of high school no less. But what happens when an opportunity arises that means he will never have to stress about affording his dream school again?

This is easily the BEST THING I HAVE EVER READ!!! Like I laughed and cried so many times. This fic was literally my life for 1 week cuz I was so hooked. Normally I don’t read fics revolved around romance but I’m sooo happy I did. 100% recommend and will definitely be rereading.

The voices are getting louder and Tommy is running out of time.
There’s a trail of smoke where something just barely catches alight and Tommy doesn’t bother with a cry of victory—not when he’s not free, not when he’s still suspended up in the air, dangling by his foot, trying to burn through his shoe so that he can gain favour towards escape or free his knife—“Oh my god Techno, your snare caught a child!”
Or: Tommy is running from his past, and finds family along the way.
