Wise was a gentle man and an even gentler lover. He cared deeply for things most would disregard due to the busyness of life, surviving being their top priority rather than the things around them. And in some way, Shiyuan understood how one could develop such a selfish mindset; it was the one he had regarding his sister and the cursed sword of hers. Yet despite everything the proxy and his sibling had gone through, they remained kind and caring.
It was Wise’s unending patience that drew him to him, that even in scenarios like this, he stayed. And selfishly, Shiyuan allowed himself to be utterly devoured by the other man’s attention.

Summary

The desk lamp’s light sharpens the line of Shiyuan’s jaw, highlighting the tension clenched there. Wise doesn’t know the details of Shiyuan’s nightmares, only that he’d lost his parents during the fall. But he understands the absolute, unquestioning loyalty in Shiyuan’s voice when he speaks of his sister. It resonates with something he knows all too well.
A restless night leads Wise to a chance encounter with Shiyuan, where an unexpected conversation forces them both to confront love and loss.

Summary

Trucy doesn't know how to explain what's happening to her family, but something's not right, and she needs to fix it. She finds hope in a photograph, showing an old friend of her daddy's.
Trucy is determined to track down this 'friend' -- Miles Edgeworth.
And, she's willing to travel internationally without parental consent to bring him back to the States.
This is an awful plan.
NEXT UPDATE: ok! good news and bad news. Good news! I found an old draft that I thought I published months ago. Bad news -- the draft is part of the next chapter, and it is hardly halfway finished and we are already nearing 10k words. I'm hoping to publish by the end of the week (1/31) at worst, but hopefully sooner than that. We'll just see how much of a monster this chapter ends up being.
