Being the last survivors of the Order. Hermione and Remus found themselves surrounded. Seeing no way out, Remus chose to sacrificed himself and send her back to a time where she could change the war. It was the one Merlin had used when he'd mentioned being a Dragon Lord, or admitted to offering to trade his life for Arthur's on more than one occasion.
