    Summary

The first time Ignis says it is barely more than a whisper. Breathed with such reverence it touches joy. Prompto feels a thrill of pride with it—his own devotion echoing back to him the exact same way. He takes, takes, takes from Ignis so much, without meaning to, just because Ignis is the way he is and Prompto needs him like he’s never needed anything before.
    Kneel.
Prompto’s knees hit the spotless wooden floor of Ignis’ bedroom with a thunk that immediately tattoos itself into Prompto’s memories to be remembered for the rest of his life. But a half second later when Ignis’ fingers twist into the short hair at the base of his skull and drag him back up off the ground, leather gloves catching against the strands in a way that steals his breath.
Gently,” Ignis hisses, voice close to his ear yet, somehow, the soft kiss he presses to it almost makes Prompto jump. “Only I am allowed to hurt you,” Ignis tells him. “That includes yourself.”

Alternatively: Ignis knows what Prompto needs, even when he doesn't.

    Summary

    alpha/beta/omega

Ignis has never liked all the posturing that comes with being an alpha. The swagger, the aggressivity. The arrogance. Traits that Ravus, on the other hand, has never seemed to try to hide.

Except, as it turns out, Ravus isn’t an alpha at all.

Or: Ignis has to claim Ravus for perfectly logical reasons. It turns out about as well as you’d think.

Author note: I just wanted some good old a/b/o Fleurentia porn and I accidentally fifteen thousand words all over myself.

Set in an alternative version of the alternative end of episode Ignis, where Noctis somehow didn’t go into the crystal and the Lucis forces have regrouped and are engaged in a full-out war against the Empire. Ignis isn’t blind and Ravus has rallied to Noctis’ side.

    Personal notes (spoilers)

Ignis and Ravus are trying to secure a diplomatic deal with a remote kingdom, when Ravus is exposed as an omega who has been using magic to hide as an alpha. In order to secure the deal, Ignis has to claim Ravus as his mate, which induces Ravus' first heat. Feeling guilty, Ignis accompanies him to take care of him, but tensions rise and they end up having sex. They both admit to being attracted to each other, but after Ravus' heat breaks, they know they have to separate to take care of their duties.

Unhappy ending, but so in character. I love Ravus' snappiness and irritation, and how uncomfortable Ignis is with antiquated notions of how an alpha should behave. The smut is super hot, and there are so many sensory details. The intro and plot points are well thought out and even though it can feel a little exposition heavy at times, it really sets the tone so that it's not just about the porn.

    Favourite lines

Ravus, of all people, an omega? It was unthinkable. Everything about Ravus screamed alpha, from his size, his authority, his physique, to his scent. But no one seemed to question the Seer's pronouncement. And Ravus himself had acknowledged it.

In comparison, Ravus was angular, tall, and muscular. And he didn't look soft by any measure of the world. He looked deadly. Not to mention extremely irritated.

"But maybe it would be a good idea to try to… I don't know, smile more? Make yourself more approachable?"

"I don't recall asking for your advice," snapped Ravus.

How much trouble would it actually cause if he were to run through the creatures with his sword? Some, certainly. Probably a lot. It would be fairly difficult to explain. And yet, it was tempting.

"Yes. I understand," snapped Ravus. "Noctis is perfect in every way, he is the most impressive omega in the entire world, he is beautiful, he is the king of light, he is blessed by the Astrals and chosen by the crystal, and I am sure he deals with his heats in the most admirable fashion and all his little friends fall over each other trying to help him."

But pain was no stranger. Pain was a force he'd tamed a long time ago, befriended, and learned to use. He could deal with the pain, easily.

He was so beautiful like that, thought Ravus, flushed, panting, his hair falling into his face. His eyes... he hadn't noticed, before, how green they were. It made him think of the oaks of the forests of his childhood, of soft leaves and mossy boughs.

His tone was courteous, almost distant. As though he was apologising for a social misstep and wasn't half naked, dishevelled, covered in Ravus' drying slick and both of their semen, sitting next to a rapidly cooling headless corpse.

"You are magnificent," he heard Ignis whisper into his ear.

Ravus scoffed. "Your brain is addled, Scientia. That is the stupidest thing you have ever said."

Soft lips were kissing the nape of his neck, the sensitive red welt left by the bite.

"No. It’s true. I thought I might as well tell you, given what just happened. I find you beautiful."

"Then there is something seriously the matter with you," said Ravus, leaning back against Ignis' chest.

"You will come back with me," whispered Ravus, stroking the skin of Ignis' cheek with his fingertips. "We will set up camp. And we are going to do this again, properly this time. Understood?"

Don't be, he wanted to say. I wish I could stay. I wish I could take you with me. I wish we could stay here in the desert forever, just the two of us, and ignore the world forever.

    Summary

After all that fuss he expected Scientia to look - unkempt. Wild, maybe, like Fulgarian's hermits, with their shaggy hair and their disarrayed clothes, their twitching fingers. But Scientia, walking unerringly towards him to make his bow, looked as pristinely immaculate as always: clothes sharp, hair carefully arranged, movements fluid and precise. Gaunt, maybe, but they all were now, after the years of rationed food and frozen fields.

Then he saw Scientia’s face, and faltered for just a moment, and knew that Amicitia was right. He had known Scientia at his lowest, had fought him and with him, had witnessed the fire of his desperation. But the man standing in front of him was like an abandoned building waiting for a demolition crew.

(Or: four months after Noctis' return and death, Ravus invites grieving Ignis to work with him in restoring Tenebrae.)

Flowers bloom to die; Lunafreya, she will wither, will be dismissed once her destiny runs its course. Summary

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide

It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)

The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.

There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)

Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
