Celeste sits up a little straighter and smooths the silk skirts over her knees. “And so I have made a decision.” She pins Castiel with her gaze, like a collector might pin a butterfly. “I will select an omega bride for you.”
His gaze whips up from the hearthrug and his mouth falls open.
“You will marry,” she says, her jaw set firmly against any protestations. “ And then you can finally take up your place as my heir.”

He’s lost his job and now works nights at a run down gas station, living paycheck to paycheck and preparing to go before the board to plea his case for why his credentials shouldn’t be taken away. He’s going to get his life back together, there’s only one problem. Castiel believes he’s God-like, a twisted angel of justice, and takes that belief to violent extremes.

His mother, appearing in an advertisement for Wayne Enterprises' latest makeup brand, wears slightly smudged lipstick and mascara that lines indecent eyes. A light blush paints his face, and highlighter shines atop the highest points of his cheekbones, making him seem as if he were tipsy. Bruce holds up a tube of the lip color used on him, and the company name is written in gold cursive against a pale pink background. It's a good ad, Dick would say, because it's very convincing. (If you buy from us, you'll look just as stunning as our CEO!)
That doesn't mean he likes it.
