Summary
She recognises Chimeny’s hand on her shoulder and when she looks up, his face for a moment flickers with relief until he looks down, eyes darkening as he realises what has happened.
“Hen-“ His voice cuts short, her head shaking side to side slowly, tears continuing to roll down her cheeks.
“He’s gone, Chim.” Her voice is barely above a whisper but it manages to crack something inside of Chimney, his hand trembling as it comes to rest on his neck. It was then that more people crowded in and Hen opened her mouth to stop Eddie from approaching but it was too late, his goofy grin slipping away when he looked down at his boyfriend.

Summary
Moving to Peru hadn't been a split-second decision. To Buck, it had been the most natural conclusion to how his life had been going. His mother had died, along with his younger siblings. His husband also was no longer with him, and his father was in rehab. So, he packed up his two-year-old and left. Now that he was in Los Angeles, he wasn't so sure leaving hadn't been a split-second decision.

Summary
"Buck Are you... whoa." Eddie stopped to see Buck's kitchen in disarray. Broken glass was everywhere. "Evan? You're scaring me. Come on, man, this isn't fucking funny." Eddie said, looking into the living room. Nothing. Eddie rushed up the stairs of the loft. He looked at the bed. empty, and the comforter was messy, with a notebook on top. Then Eddie tried opening the bathroom door; he'd much rather get yelled at for barging in on a man shitting on a toilet or showering.
That's when Eddie's heart stopped beating. "No, no, no, Evan. Why'd you lock the door?" Eddie asked. "You never lock the door. Not even when you shit, Buck! Why's the door locked?" Eddie choked out a sob. Eddie somehow already knew.

Summary
The last straw, at least for Bobby, was when Buck stood up after a dinner that he’d mostly just picked at and nearly fainted into Bobby’s arms. Bobby had taken one look at him practically cradled in his arms, pressed a hand to his forehead, hissed at what he found, and promptly declared that he was going home early. Only, Buck couldn’t be so lucky today. Oh no, Bobby had meant his home. So that was how Buck ended up getting out of an Uber in front of Bobby and Athena’s house. That doesn’t, however, explain what he’s doing sitting in a tree.

Summary
Buck had no idea why he was called into the police station. He hadn't done anything, and he'd been doing pretty good keeping his jealousy about everyone getting to know and hang out with Tommy Kinard to himself, he was pretty sure, anyway. But called in to talk about something, having to do a DNA test, and then getting put in a conference room with a little girl that was obviously bored? He had no idea what was going on and just wished someone would tell him something.
Whatever.
He could just make friends with a six year old.

Summary
May shakes her head. "You two are the meme where it's like: I told my friends a funny story, but then everyone looked horrified and apologized. I’m still not sure what went wrong!”
Maddie rolls her eyes. “Our entire childhood was soaked in grief and self-esteem issues. Is it really any wonder we had issues as teenagers?”
“Christ, you two need family counseling.” Karen says, shaking her head.
“This is the emotionally stunted man you want helping raise your child?” Hen verifies to Eddie, “This one? You’re certain.”
“It's already legally binding, so,” Eddie replied flippantly.
“I’m sorry, did you two get married without telling us?” Chimney jokes but still appears a little lost.
“Or start dating, for that matter?” Athena inquires.
Buck and Eddie are both immediately flustered. “What? No—”
Or, when faced with a potentially abusive father on a call, Buck goads the man into punching him to keep the kids with their mother. The 118 learn a little bit about Buck as a teenager.
This is mostly fluff. Maddie and Buck make jokes at their own expense.
