AU. Tony Stark is the Top Forensic Scientist at S.H.I.E.L.D. and possibly in the world - if he does say so himself - there’s only one person he’s come up against and can’t beat: international criminal mastermind Loki Laufeyson. He’s gotten close but Loki always has a lackey to throw in front of the blame. He’s completely untouchable and if Loki wasn’t his enemy than Tony would be marvelling at and adoring his genius. But Tony can’t, because he’s a good guy, he has morals and a duty to the public that he’s trying to protect. Loki Laufeyson, however, is equally fascinated and he doesn’t do anything other than what he wants. COMPLETE.

“He's missing,” Steve's mouth is open, agape at the betrayal he's witnessing. “Tony Stark is missing, and you tell me to not worry?”
“You should've told us about the vibranium,” Nick Fury returns, swift as the devil. Everything's Steve's fault, isn't it? Hasn't it always been? “We could have protected it.”
“You would've used it!” Steve is fuming, eyes alight in an unnatural anger. “Do you see? Black Panther told us specifically not to tell you. Besides,” he says bitterly, eyes focusing and blurring. He wonders how long it's been since he's slept. “That's not what they were after.”
“No?” Fury runs his fingers idly along his table in what seems like a gesture of nonchalance but Steve has only ever seen it as nervousness.
“They were after Tony,” Steve lets out a breath that seems to take everything from him. “They were after what he can do; what they think he will do to save himself. He will not.”

"I am going to find Tony," the man hisses in Peter's ear, his gaze cold and cruel. "And when I do, I will kill him, slowly. What do you say to that-" The man stops short because Peter's shoulders are shaking, and before he can curl his lip in victory, he hears a snicker. When he lets go of Peter's hair, the teen's head slumps to his chest, but it's not out of exhaustion or defeat...it's to hide a smile.
The boy lets out a laugh, shaking his head before glancing to the sides admitting apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's just- it is so fun to mess with you!" He looks around before snorting, "Tony Stark? That's your play? You're not screwing with me, right? You actually thought that would work? Sorry guys." Peter straightens in his chair with a sneer and a cocky wink, "Tony doesn't give a flying crap about me."
In other words.... Peter is kidnapped and his captors think they can hold Tony against him. But they don't know what's happened in the past couple months.

While Voldemort was no longer trying to kill them all, 8th year at Hogwarts was presenting with its own unique challenge: alpha, beta, and omega presentations were springing up left and right. The Department of Mysteries is making all students report what amortentia smells like to them in order to research attraction between compatible magical cores. Hermione is full of nerves and anticipation as she realizes the scent of her Ancient Runes partner just might match her amortentia.
Harry and Ginny get it on, Hogwarts forces them to attend a mortifying sexual education class, ancient runic potions recipes must be interpreted, spin the bottle is played, Slughorn hosts a fancy alpha/omega party but people get rowdy, Ron gets jealous, walls come tumbling down, and there is a happily ever after.

Before his third year of Hogwarts has even begun, Harry faces three whole weeks of unsupervised time in Diagon Alley. In that time he takes a trip to Gringotts - and that changes everything.
Burdened with the knowledge that Dumbledore has been blocking his family magic, and manipulating far more than he ever thought possible, Harry doesn't know who he can trust; but he knows he can't keep going that way. There's a whole world of lore and politics and history to catch up on, and the more he learns, the more Harry realises his true place in the world, and how much is being kept hidden from him. All the while, Dumbledore's twinkling eyes are constantly watching, and Harry can't let on how much he knows.
With help from unexpected places, Harry starts on a journey to end the war, and reshape the wizarding world. With how much he looks like James Potter, people have forgotten one important thing about him - he is Lily Evans' son, and she was one hell of a witch.
