The light reflects on a piece of silver metal on Keith’s hand as his fingers play with Lance’s.
He zeroes in on it, his breath catching in his throat.
It’s a thin silver ring that sits nicely on his left ring finger, adorned with an even thinner golden band around it, perfectly matching, and mirroring the ring that Lance found on his bathroom counter this morning.
Oh, no way. No, no, no, no. Absolutely not.
This has to be some kind of cruel joke.
There is no way that the person he’s married to in the future is Keith.

Summary
Uther's execution of a high priest of the Old Religion leads to the wrath of the god Emrys, and Camelot is trapped in a never-ending winter. Arthur Pendragon, unbeknownst to his father, embarks on a quest with his trusted knight Leon to free Camelot from the god's curse, braving snowstorms and bandits left and right.
On his way, though, he meets Merlin: a mouthy boy with startling blue eyes who may be much, much more than he seems. And, as much as he may try, Arthur can't stop himself from gravitating towards him - even as he knows that Merlin hides a secret, one that may come back to bite him in the arse before long.

Morgana stared him in the eyes, her face hardening. Tears glistened on her cheeks, but she was deadly serious as she shook her head in defeat. “No, Arthur. If there is one thing you need to know about my visions, it’s that my dreams always, always come true.”

As only second in line for the throne, Arthur should have expected to one day be sent off to marry a princess far away. He hadn't expected it. Nor had he expected to be betrayed and imprisoned by an evil sorcerer along the way. Even less did he expect to meet someone there who would change his life forever.
As for Merlin, he never thought there was anything other than this life. This prison. This ruin that was his magic. It only took one person to show him there was something more worth fighting for.
