“When was the last time you saw him?” She asked.
He glanced at her, shrugging, “Last time everyone saw him. At his so-called coronation. Haven’t seen him since, nobody has, besides you.”
Valkyrie nodded, swallowing slowly. She looked around the small pub, then turned back to the bar. She straightened up, leaning in closer. Fandral watched her carefully.
“Look… I need your help.” She said quietly.
He gave her a look that she couldn’t quite read.
“He’s as bad as people say he is, isn’t he?”
She didn’t want to answer that, but she had to. She reluctantly nodded. Fandral shook his head, staring down at his empty glass.
“How bad? I’ve only heard rumors, how much of it is true?” He asked after a moment.
Valkyrie shrugged, swirling the last bit of beer in her mug around. “Just about all of it.

Five years after the events of Endgame, Loki is King of New Asgard after the death of his brother. He does good work, keeps the council on track, does all the accounting and balances the books - the only problem though - He hasn't stepped foot out of his house in five years...

“Listen,” Casey huffed, squeezing Raph’s hand, “I’m going to leave, and I’m going to let you think of three other reasons why you should take the serum, and none of them can be related to me, okay?” Raph glanced at him, “I don’t want you doing this because you think it’s what I want. You need to do this for you, Raph, or don’t do it at all, I don’t care! Whatever you decide. I’ll support you.”
Raph smiled softly, but wiped it off with the back of his hand the moment he felt his lips begin to curl.

Donnie has developed a retro-mutagen serum that could turn the turtles into regular human kids. Raph seems to be the only one experiencing a dilemma. -

“I missed you.” He admitted quietly. The hush of the water raining down on them helped masked the obnoxious thumping of Nebula’s heart.
“Really?” She didn’t mean to say that out loud.
He smiled, not being able to stop the small chuckle that escaped his lips, “Yes, really.” He let his hand fall from her face. “Is that so hard to believe?”
“Yes.”
His face faltered. “I don’t know why.” He said with a small shrug of his shoulders, “I’ve told you countless times how I feel about you.”
“I know.” Nebula ducked her head, watching the water circle around their feet.
“But you still have such a hard time believing me?” He finished for her. It seemed as though this wasn’t the first time they were having this conversation.
She glanced up at him. “Maybe one day it won’t be so hard to believe.”

They were supposed to be 'being discreet'. No one was supposed to know they knew each other, let alone that they were together. But Nebula couldn't help herself.
Besides, it was the middle of the night. Who was going to know?

He laid there for a moment on the ground. His breathing was heavy, but shallow. He managed to sit up, having to straighten one leg due to the pain.
There was that pit in his stomach that just kept gnawing at him. He didn’t know whether he wanted to throw up or eat something. Probably both.
He knew what he really needed, but he was also not an idiot. He had sold out every dealer on the next four blocks. He’d been banned from bars, clubs, even low joints like the one down the street. No one would sell to him anymore. He had crossed the line, and there was no coming back.
But the truth didn’t fight the cravings. The undeniable hunger that sat in his stomach, in his bones, in his head.
He rubbed at his eyes, it was irritated and stung like hell.
“Loki?”
He didn’t react at first, and didn't grant a response either. He honestly thought it was just the wind and poor tricks of his mind.
“Loki!”
He looked in the direction of the opposite end of the long alley. All he could see was the rather large outline of a man. A man who knew his name, he sat there a moment before realizing that that was usually not a very good mix.

She grabbed the sweats off of his chair, “Do you need help?” He swiped them from her hand, she watched his ears burn a little bit. “You know there’s no shame in asking for help, Loki.”“That’s easy for you to say,” He muttered, “You’re not the one asking for it.”
***Loki was abducted and tortured by an insane organization a little over a year ago. They're long gone - Thor made sure of that - but the events that unfolded still haunt the younger prince's every waking moment.
Thor is optimistic (per usual) he's convinced they will both see brighter days - Loki, however, can barely swallow the taste of blood that still lingers in his mouth, even after a year later.

Summary
A year after Eddie Munson dies in the Upside Down, Steve Harrington finds him alive in front of the trailer he used to call home.
But Eddie is different than before. He has ears that peek, bat-like, above his hair and eyes that burn gold in the night, and the memories of his old life, his name, the relationship he and Steve once held, are gone.
Steve is left to pick up the pieces, to help Eddie adjust to his new normal, all while hoping that someday life can be as it once was.

But Eddie’s eyes are already rolling back, his consciousness slipping as Steve holds him.
“Robin!” He doesn’t recognize his own voice, high and cracking and desperate. “Robin, help me!” He cradles Eddie’s face in his hand and supports him with the other, blood staining his shirt.
Steve doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about anything because Eddie is here. He’s alive. He’s different and bloodied but even as Robin approaches, even as she tells him this looks really bad, Steve, Steve breathes his first full breath since 1986.

Summary
What if Klaus had killed Damon at the start of Season 3? A distraught Elena calls Alaric to fetch her and a very dead Damon back from Chicago then begs Bonnie to bring Damon back to life. But the Damon Bonnie brings back is not the badass vampire they know and love/hate, but a pre-Katherine, human Damon from 1862.
Alaric’s long secretly fancied Damon, comfortable his feelings would never be returned. This Damon’s interested, but Damon’s just confused, right? Plus, Alaric’s got enough on his hands, what with Damon’s nineteenth-century diseases, the interest of dodgy government agencies, plus everyone hating Damon for all the badass vampire things this version of Damon never got to do…
Basically, a sweet, slow-burn, soapy m/m romance with lots and lots of angst and h/c, a bit of sex, and a lot of Damon whump. Don’t like this sort of thing? Please, please don’t read. For whumptober 2021 content, please see notes.
