A Slice of Life Wings of Fire fic that focuses on the silly antics of the Gold and Jade winglets, Bigtail and Pike especially. Expect gambling and gay people sparring.
Bigtail is your average Nightwing dragonet. Always sick, always grumpy, has dark scales, you get the gist. Being in the worst winglet in all of Jade Mountain certainly doesn't help with your grumpiness, but he'll push through anyway. For his parents. Even if it means having to go along with whatever bullshit his clawmates (mainly Pike) make him do.
Pike is NOT your average Seawing dragonet. Don't tell anyone, but he's actually an undercover guard for the future Queen. The strongest, fastest, smartest Seawing for the job. For some reason though, he's also part of the most pathetic winglet of dragons he's ever seen. (Besides Tamarin and himself of course,) worst part is, at every turn, he's greeted by a insolent Nightwing.

- First and Foremost, sandwing succesion war never happens.
- second, There is much smaller Age difference between the sisters, with Burn being oldest at 5 (at the time of this story), Blister being 4 and Blaze being 3.

The three moons loom over the Succession Wars. Dune fails to steal Sunny’s egg from Thorn and dies, dropping it on open sand in the light of the moons. Thorn keeps her Little Beetle and raises her in the Scorpion Den. Stonemover’s animus bloodline breeds true.
As the princesses scorch Pyrrhia, the Den crowns its own powers. Thorn leads the Outclaws, keeping the oasis alive as Vulture's syndicate circles. Brilliant Qibli, hungry to be useful, bets everything on Thorn’s city and Beetle’s magic. Together, they strive to uplift the Den, outplay the sisters’ war, and keep their family intact.
However, magic, ambition, and love don’t always pull the same way. Beetle, in her efforts to protect her home, may find herself in a position to destroy it. Thorn, in her mission to protect her daughter, may have to embrace the monstrous side of herself that the Den already dreads. Author's Note: This here is a collection of Side Stories and Alternate Pathways(What IFs) based on the Wings of Fire Fanfic, Peace and Its Shadow. These stories will be taken more seriously into the PAIS canon than the random collection that is "Strawberries and Darkness", and the differences from Tui's planned Arc Four will most definitely be present.
Updates will vary, but hopefully, there will be more frequent updates than the long chapters in PAIS. Of course, I recommend reading the official series of Wings of Fire by Tui Sutherland that Peace and Its Shadow is a fanfic of.

Peacemaker was never deemed ordinary among most other dragonets, but one incident was all it took for him to fall down a rabbit hole of deception, guilt, memories, and an unexpected friend. Once Peacemaker gets an invitation to Jade Mountain Academy to get away from everything behind in the rainforest, he accepts. But as Peacemaker continues forward despite the incident, he soon becomes wrapped up in the consequences of the past and new problems in the future, and is now forced to use his knowledge, intelligence, and ability to lie to solve them. However, as fate keeps pressuring him in other directions, should he trust the visions leading down a certain path, or can he find a way to break free from the chains? Is he able to trust in his new friends, or how far is he willing to continue alone until he cracks?

“From now on, all animus magic spells, voiced or silent, cast by animus dragons present and future, shall be subject to the following conditions.
One. A deeply annoying voice that develops a deeply annoying personality with a disproportionately large ego who names itself Animi shall reside within each animus dragon’s mind, and cannot be removed.
Two. Upon every spell that is attempted to be cast by animus dragons, Animi will stall at least three, and at most ten times.
Three. Upon granting the spell, if still pushed through by the animus, Animi will fulfill it in the most irritating, inconvenient, pedantic, emotionally humiliating or insanity-inducing way possible, while still technically obeying the caster’s words in the loosest interpretation that can still be defended in a theoretical debate. Animi will decide for itself what is the best option.”
