    Soundwave had been there when the Autobots left planet Earth. He’d seen them step through the ground bridge onto resurrected Cybertron. Saw them take one last glance at their pets, then disappear with the closing vortex.

    He had looked down at the humans as they wailed with screeching vocalizers. How they mourned those that would never return. The ones that only enjoyed their company because they were useful. Entertaining. Utter hatred burned through his circuits.

    He would be there to watch each of them perish. That was a promise.

    B-127 salvaged many treasures during his countless cycles in Sublevel 50 but the best thing he ever rescued from the incinerator was an abandoned little sparkling he named Rubble.
