Summary
Loneliness is an insidious thing. When Merlin looks at Arthur, he sees not just a prince waiting for his time to rule, but a young man struggling to find his place in the world, with little help from anyone else.
The truth is, Arthur needs more than the friendship Merlin can offer. He needs people he can trust: men and women who will become his court and his confidants, and if he is going to survive to take the throne and lead Camelot into its golden age, he needs them sooner rather than later.
Finding loopholes in Uther’s laws is no easy feat. Court life is a dangerous game, but it’s one Merlin has every intention of winning so that Arthur can have knights of his choosing by his side.
And then there is the matter of his magic…

Summary
Arthur's eyes widen minutely, and Merlin can see fists tighten by his side, but he doesn't move out of Merlin's grasp, doesn't show any other reaction. And Merlin has never touched Arthur like this, never so unkindly but he's reached a boiling point, the thought of carrying on with this thankless routine is agonising.
His voice is almost a whisper when he speaks next. He leans in closer, unable to look at Arthur anymore, instead he says his next words a breath away from his ear. "You could thank me on your knees and it wouldn't come anywhere close to adequate appreciation."

In which Merlin is overwhelmed and underappreciated. Stretched thin between keeping the kingdom safe, playing the role of Arthur’s servant as well as the role of Gaius’ apprentice, and dealing with his magic, he snaps and quits. Arthur, of course, begins to realise the emptiness of life without Merlin. What follows is a mix of frustration, hurt, pining, and, finally, a reunion. Featuring the ever tired and concerned knights of the round table (except Gwaine, he doesn’t really give a shit.)

The soldier standing in front her is not familiar. He’s thin and tall and haggard looking but Jyn thinks he can’t be too much older than her despite the weariness of his features. He’s as drenched as she is, if not more, his wet hair still dripping into his eyes. Jyn stares up at him, her clenched jaw aches. She can’t find her voice. The soldier clears his throat, raises a hand. There’s something clenched in it. He offers it to her. “In case you’re cold.” He says. His voice is gentle but the set of his mouth gives him away, the shadow of awkwardness that lingers under each carefully enunciated word. Jyn doesn’t help him, doesn’t reach for the jacket in his hand. She just keeps staring.
[Or: After years held hostage by the Empire, Jyn is rescued from Eadu during a rebel attack.]

So she understands. She has a lifetime of practice being in second place.

Summary
At the end of the world, she whispers.
"Cassian..."
He stops her, "Kassa."
Jyn closes her eyes. There it is. Her suspicions that she hoped were just some delusional thoughts, now lay out in the open.
He holds her tighter, "My name. It's Kassa."
Which is the bigger tragedy? Not knowing at all or knowing that there was always this invisible strings between them. One way or another, Jyn is always meant to find Cassian. All the what ifs running through her mind.
But one way or another, do they have to die?

TL;DR - In which Jyn met Kerri, Cassian's sister, years ago in the Partisan and the reason Cassian could never find her because she was rescued by Saw Gerrera. It shouldn't change anything. But it did.
Also the event in Rogue One takes longer.

“Nothing it’s just,” Merlin shrugged. “You’re in the process of overturning the ban on magic, some of the kingdoms have made you their enemy, some have allied with others. We’re not sure who stands on our side in the fight for magic. I’m just... concerned some might try and take it out on you during the tournament.”
“Well, I won’t need to worry, not with an all powerful warlock watching over me.” Arthur said confidently and Merlin gives him a toothy grin. “Though, if you’re that concerned... you could always, you know.... Give me your favour.”

Summary
Arthur dies, but it isn’t over: the Sidhe offer him an opportunity to make it right again. Since he’s in the lake of Avalon, he cannot be fully declared dead, it’s like he’s floating between the gates of life and death. But Death has touched him, it’s not in their power to send him back to life. They can, though, send him back in time, to the other time he has been touched by Death. From the bite of the Questing beast. Arthur accepts the offer, and he wakes up in his bed, seeing his father sleeping by his sickbed.
So I’ve seen fanfics where Merlin goes back, or when they both go back to the startline, but I just had the idea, what if it was Arthur burdened with the knowledge of the future, more than Merlin, because the poor boy deserves some break. And it was fun thinking about what decisions would Arthur make, if he had to do it all over again. For Arthur the Questing Beast was like five years ago or more, so he doesn’t fully remember everything, just main events. For example he remembers that the Lady Catrina was a troll, but he doesn’t remember that it was Cedric, who was possessed by Cornelius Sigan.
