There are lush trees and blooming plants and critters scurrying over branches and electrical poles. There is life here, vibrant and beautiful, after so, so long spent in a wasteland, and for the third time today Sasuke’s body starts to shake.

That small voice dissolves into the quiet, choking hiccups of someone trying to hide their tears.
Her hair is bright, bubble gum pink. It hurts to look at. She looks real.

Jack and Maddie Fenton have tried and failed to exorcise the powerful spirit inhabiting the body of their son. To make matters worse, he doesn't even believe he's possessed, and no amount of evidence can persuade him to accept reality. So, they do what any good parent would- they do their best to keep him safe and comfortable while they continue their search for a cure.
If that means keeping him locked down under 24-hour surveillance in an ecto-containment unit while they do that, then... well, it doesn't feel great, but he's their baby boy. And what else can they do?
Until they maybe, kind of, -accidentally- end up in maximum security prison for crimes against metahumanity, and then someone else has to take care of their son without them.
The good news is that the Justice League has a specialist.
The bad news is that Danny can't be cured.

But it seems like that isn't fate, because the moon is full tonight---and it is inevitable that the child will become a siren.
He doesn't know how he's supposed to handle Damian, the newly siren boy with a lust for blood so strong that it scares him. He wants to try and get the child back to his father... but he can tell the boy is hiding something.
Danny just has to find out what.

Ma’amoul, he’d later find out. It must’ve been the most delicious thing Damian had ever eaten. It was addicting. It stuck to his teeth and coated his hands in sugary powder—foreign to anything else he’d experienced.
The day after, Damian was beaten to death for the first time.
Or, Damian shares his mother's eyes. This causes more problems than he’s expecting when arriving in Wayne Manor.
