“You once said you loved Chat Noir,” Adrien said, the words edged with something dangerously close to accusation. But the only change that crossed Marinette’s face was a softening of her expression as she looked at him with something that might almost have been pity.
“But I love you more, Adrien.” Her hands closed gently around Adrien’s fist, her palms soft and warm against the cold metal of the ring. This time, Adrien couldn’t even pull away. “Give up the ring, Adrien, and allow yourself to have this life.” Something flickered in Marinette’s eyes, a strange glimmer. Something Adrien couldn’t quite understand, something that did not belong there. “You have spent your entire life pretending to be what everyone else needed you to be anyway,” she whispered. “Why not do it one more time? For your own happiness this time.”

Summary
Genji came to him late in the spring, on the anniversary of his own murder, and spoke of honour and redemption as if Hanzo was capable of any of these things. He was nothing like the Genji that Hanzo had once known; his restless energy subdued in the decade since they’d last met. But upon seeing his dragon, seeing his eyes, Hanzo recognised the fire that burned bright in his brother, relentless and passionate even towards someone who was not deserving of it. The feeling of a blade to his throat and his brother’s steel hand on his shoulder had chilled Hanzo to the core, and Genji left him with no resentment of the past or expectations for the future – only forgiveness, and peace, and a simple request.

The sound of the door closing behind her echoes uncomfortably in the now silent room. When it dissipates, Cassidy clears his throat, gaze still hefted on the now closed door.
“Hanzo Shimada joining Overwatch, huh?” he speaks into the room. His voice is calm.
“If Genji wishes so, once he’s safe.” He gives back.
“Sure you didn’t have anything to do with it yourself? With Genji bein’ gone?” He shoots back, turns around to face him now.
His voice was still neutral on the surface but carried something dark and resentful with it.
A little self-deprecating part of Hanzo relished in the scrutiny. Relished in the justice to be mistrusted after what he did.“If it hadn’t been for Kiriko’s help I would still be a prisoner of the Hashimoto myself. Genji came to our aid and got captured in the process. The least I can do is help saving him now.”
“Awfully kind o’ you.” Cassidy rumbles back.
“One must start somewhere, I suppose.”

“His village is starving,” Luffy replied matter-of-factly from his perch on the desk, one leg up supporting his arm, the other dangling. “They’ve had a bad fishing season, their land’s dry, and the jungle too dangerous for them to forage in. They tried to fish further in the ocean, but it’s all lost from the storm.”
The room fell quiet after Luffy’s explanation, waiting for a response. The man whispered ‘please’ over and over as tears fell from his eyes, fingers tightening in the sheets. Sanji glanced around the room, hands tucked in his pockets.
Finally, with a shrug, he spoke, “Then we feed them.”

In a village of secrets, within the miles of red tape that surrounded his brand new students, opposition was only ever a few steps away, but Kakashi wasn't worried. Team Seven always had a way of surpassing expectations. These three would be no different. Kakashi would make sure of that.
