Yeah, most people would react that way, but not them. They didn't have much to leave behind anyway.
They were perfectly fine being the Destroyer of AUs himself. They would rather sit back, watch the Multiverse burn as they break the records of being the most apathetic Error Sans in existence, coming out of the Anti-Void when needed.
It was a pretty nice gig, just relaxing like this.

Error is a laid back god of destruction, hating his job but reluctantly doing it. Rarely destroying, and only copies are vanquished. No one knows he exists, he never leaves the anti-void, having only the voices as company. Nightmare is trying to take over the multiverse, Ink is fighting every day to stop him, Error doesn’t care for either of them. But he wants to love and protect something, to have mercy on someone. Now a person has changed things. Error makes a dangerous choice, one that could cause trouble or a chance. Things have gotten complicated, what will become of this?

Has anyone ever questioned how impactful and fitting it would be if Error was protecting the multiverse rather than destroying it?
Like, he’d have that critical eye for all the mistakes that the creators made in their AUs, or creations, and he’d just be like, “delete that, you don’t need that” or “that scene is a waste of time, work and effort, get rid of it” or “THIS IS AN ABOMINATION! YOU HAVE TO COLOR IN THE LINES!!” or “what did I tell you to do which you dID THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF!?!” or “More stars. … MORE FXXKING STARS!!!”
Yeah, like a “really-harsh-critic-for-creators-that-actually-makes-them-better-and-create-better-content” kind of Error. Or, I guess, just Error in Ink’s place with but with less restraint, more corrections, and a “let’s-get-down-to-business” smooth attitude.
Wait-, this is starting to sound like that auto-correcting application!!!
(Error being the equivalent of an angry Grammarly just popped into my head-)

Summary
Fate wanted efficiency, wanted their puppet to do it’s job well, wanted to see results which their tool is not producing quickly enough for their taste. They could feel their multiverse that would start to crumble with the number of universe the glitch failed to destroy.
If only they had something, a Voice to scream at the fool when that thing goes out of the Anti-void to do it’s job. Shout at it to do it better, be better and to stop being so useless. And they thought why not?

Summary
In this AU, Error never left the Anti-Void. Error never remembered his past or anything before living in the Anti-Void. Only knowing he was a error, what The Voices told him, and how to talk and sleep. He never met Ink, never had the need to destroy worlds. In this AU, Error never became the Destroyer of Worlds. All he wanted was to stop feeling so lonely, to understand and belong. Error wanted to leave the Anti-Void.
But Balance is needed. Error never became the Destroyer, so someone else would have to.
In this AU, Fresh is more vicious, more violent. He can feel anger, hatred, and jealousy. Fresh became jealous of all the other Monster's being able to feel happiness, being able to feel love. To be loved. He wanted feel that, but couldn't no matter how he tried. In this AU, Fresh became the Corrupter of Worlds. Spreading his fresh virus across the Multiverse, possessing whoever he wanted, and turning worlds into a fresh paradise. All he wanted was to feel happiness and love, to love and be loved in return.
In this AU, their romance becomes twisted, unhealthy, and dependent.

Summary
Where Error is forced into being the Destroyer and killing off the AU's. Fate took him from his own AU, destroying and killing it off, forcing him and corrupting him into what he is all because Ink does not know about the balance. He is part of the balance, just as Ink is. They are both Gods in there own right, but Error is the scapegoat in his Multiverse. He can not die, not even by Reaper's scythe or touch. Error has tried everything to kill himself off, but then gets a idea.
Error is done with being apart of the balance, if they only want Ink then fine, he will give them what they wanted. He washes his hands of them. Error is going to have the last laugh if it is the last thing he does.
