Summary
It’s his instincts and his voices who wake him up, as they are screaming wrong wrong wrong.
He is not alone.
There is a creature in his room. Techno blinks at the figure sitting on top of his blankets, right on the foot of his bed. It is still, and does not move.
“Did you break into my house to get away from the cold?” Techno asks.
The creature says nothing. It only pulls one of the blankets at the end of Techno’s bed closer to itself.
“Well if you’re gonna stay at least take another blanket,” Techno grumbles.
Techno doesn't expect for his hibernation to be interrupted by a strange creature who breaks into his house. He decides to let it stay. Throughout the winter, the creature wakes him up in intermissions until spring. Inviting them to stay turns out to be one of the best decisions he made.
Or, how Technoblade accidently befriends and adopts what he believes to be some sort of demon that visits in his sleep, but is actually just a curious shapeshifting child.

Blinking out the spots in his eyes that were caused by the pain in his ankle, he took in the sight of the man in front of him.
The first thing Tommy registered was that the guy was tall. And probably very strong as well.
The second thing Tommy noticed was the man’s pink hair, which made the blond frown in slight surprise, because who on earth got the time to dye their hair pink in the middle of the apocalypse?
Then Tommy took in the big ass rifle pointed at him.
“Who are you?” the man’s voice was low and threatening. His eyes were cold and calculating, narrowed in suspicion.
Tommy’s reflexes kicked in, throwing his usual behaviour out the window.
“Bitch who are you?” Tommy glared at the other man, “and why’re you in my base?”OR Tommy is alone and it's the apocalypse he sneaks into what he thought was empty bunker but is actually occupied by 3/4 sbi and now they're snowed in whoops

The ship has realigned, and he can hear the dinging warning of oxygen leaks and damage, flashing red lights, but he lets his head drop to his chest. He closes his eyes.
Tommy is alone.
Floating in the middle of space as his water supply runs out is the last place that Tommy wants to be, but he's resigned to the fact that it might be his fate. That is, until a ship finally picks up on his transmissions...

It is. It is cold.
Phil prays his own fever is enough to keep Tommy warm through the night.

It's hard for Phil, a cat, to look after a young toddler. It's even harder as the pair lives on the streets, getting colder by the day as winter steadily approaches.
Then the pair get picked up by a tall witch, and his tusked familiar. In the midst of a magical home, Phil learns about himself, cares for Tommy, and struggles with a sense of guilt and self-worth.

Phil tugged him closer. "Shhh" he murmured, running a hand through his sweaty oily hair.
"If Tech isn't here by tomorrow, I'll make it stop okay?" Phil promised in a voice just above a whisper. "Just hold on a little longer, and either way we'll make it stop."
Tommys sobs died to pained whimpers. He laid his head on Phils shoulder, clutching his hand like a lifeline.
Tomorrow. It'll finally stop tomorrow.
He doesn't know he'll make it that far.

A hero hadn’t been to their district in 47 years. Since nobody called the police they were underfunded and were driven out. Hero’s couldn’t find anything from gossip or civilians about big villains so no fame or money was to be made.
After those left, with corporations (mainly banks for money and grocery stores for food) being run dry almost everything was run by the common man. Walmart was the last to go, it had a gun aisle so I’m surprised it didn’t go sooner honestly.
God bless almart. Someone stole the W so there could only be L’s.
