It’s difficult being a single father, but Nick does as best he can at raising his little girl, Kim, in a house on his own. With how much he works, he’s often worried about her feeling lonely- but thankfully loneliness doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for her with how many imaginary friends she seems to have. Nick has overheard her reading stories with her teddy bear, giggling and laughing as she entertains herself with a board game, and playing pirate with the ship in a bottle. Most children probably wouldn’t be found trying to strike up a conversation with something like a vacuum, microwave, or the hangers in their closet- but Nick just figures that his daughter is on the more imaginative side. As long as she’s happy and not getting hurt, what’s the harm? In any case, he loves hearing about the antics that Kim and her imaginary friends get up to. The Kingdom of Dressrosa lacks the raw resources and manpower to match its ruler’s ambitions.
The obvious solution, according to Dressrosa’s King, is a betrothal between three princes.
Things quickly get complicated.

Soulmate Au: When you don’t see colors till you make eye contact with your soulmate + spirit animals au +dream au??
In a world where your world becomes colorful once you’ve made eye contact with your soulmate, Virgil traverses through his life in monochrome colors. Simple black and white, he’s always found a strange sad comfort in it, the colorless world around him wasn’t nearly as bleak as his views on life. He’s perfectly fine without meeting his soulmates, in fact, he’d prefer it if he didn’t. He’s accustomed to his life as is. But of course, life didn’t like him so starting at the age of 15 he began seeing glimpses of five different colored animals: a dark blue owl, a red peacock, a light blue husky, a green raccoon, and a golden snake. Along with that ‘wonderful’ gift, in his dreams, he’s also subjected to a dreamscape where soulmates could interact via their animal body. So, both in his wake and his sleep he’s taunted with the idea of soulmates, no matter what though Virgil is determined to avoid them. He didn’t need soulmates, and they didn’t need him.
