The stranger freezes as tugs his arm down, hugging it close like a teddy bear..
“Ah.” he mutters awkwardly. Tommy doesn’t know what he means by that, nor does he give a shit. He lets his eyelids droop again, curling around his prize.
“I’m gonna need that back eventually, kid,” the stranger mutters. Tommy hisses again, pressing closer. If the stranger doesn’t want to stay, he shouldn’t be a walking heat pack. Serves him right.
The stranger sighs, shifting slightly in Tommy's grip, hesitating when he hisses once again.
“Quit it. I’m just fixing the blankets.”
Tommy huffs, chattering irritably. He can fix them without moving.
He doesn’t fix them without moving. He ignores Tommy’s hisses, tucking the blankets up back around his shoulders, the arm still firm in his grip. Tommy presses his face against the palm, chattering softly as the other hand runs through his hair. Perfect.

Tommy is waiting for him, depending on him. He’s just a baby, way too little to leave the burrow, so he needs Wilbur to make it back, to escape the hound and bring the food home. So Wilbur runs even though it hurts like a wildfire climbed inside of his skin and lungs.
He runs and then he sees a hole at the base of a magnificent oak tree—too small for the huge dog to fit into, but more than big enough for Wilbur. His feet skid on leaf litter as he makes a sharp change of course, but he doesn’t fall.
With snapping jaws at his back, down the hole he tumbles.

What had once been the crowded halls of a school was now a vast landscape unlike one he had ever seen before, he was standing on the edge of a cliff that overlooked a small meadow of sorts, snow coating the floor and slowly falling from the sky. He hissed in pain when the hold on his shoulder turned into a burning pain, whoever held on having dug their nails in. He could hear a voice speaking, the voice was calm but the hidden malice was clear and caused his heart to drop into his stomach, he knew this voice, he knew it but he had never heard it before but it sounded too familiar.
"I've found you, Ranboo."
