“Can I hug you, Tommy?” They weren’t looking at him, their eyes were locked on something in the distance, maybe the trees, maybe the stars twinkling overhead. Tommy knew he looked ridiculous, his eyebrows at his hairline and his blown wide, but still, he managed to stutter out a response.
“Of course.” Before he could get his answer out completely, Olive’s long arms were pulling him closer to them. Their arms wrapped around him tightly and they were so warm despite the incessant chill that pervaded the air. Tommy’s fingers were freezing to the point where he could hardly move them, but he winded his arms around Olive all the same. Their face was tucked into the crook of his neck, their eyelashes fluttered and Tommy had to bite down a laugh at the sensation, settling on a huff that sent a cloud of condensation into the air. “Text me when you’re home, okay?” He gripped their shoulder a little tighter and leaned into the embrace a little more.
“Yeah,” They nodded, pulling away slowly and giving him the barest hint of a smile.

Three months ago, Grian won the Game.Which is just a nicer way of saying that three months ago he killed his best friend and jumped off a cliff.
Two months ago, Tommy's older brother came back to life.
Which is just a nicer way of saying that his abuser brought back the man partially responsible for two of his deaths and a good deal of his trauma.
One accidental arrow brings together a family.
AKA: Grian doesn't die after winning Third Life, instead he finds TommyInnit and starts a different sort of life, one with a more parental title.
AKA: Tommy runs away from Las Nevadas and the entirety of the DreamSMP. In the war-decimated lands of the Third Life SMP, he is finally able to heal.

"I'm sorry," Tommy said, trying to pull away. "But I don't know who you are."He almost regretted it when he saw the broken look on the man's face. Still, there was that twinge of almost-recognization. The stranger (was he a stranger?) looked disappointed, but not at him. Tommy almost wished he was the person this guy was looking for, he looked nice. Despite accusing him of being his son and almost crying on him, this was the nicest anyone had been for a while.

The children looking back at him are silent, eyes wide. The older one has long pink hair and is dressed as a witch, he thinks. It's not a good costume at all- jeans and a sweater and a witch hat. The younger one is dressed as... Phil's not sure. He's pale, with convincing blueish lips and a scrape across his cheek, plus a black robe that's dragging on the ground. Oh! It's the rest of the witch costume.
The kids are still silent, and Phil blinks, forcing himself to stop staring.
“Happy Halloween!” Phil greets to prompt them, scanning the street. There don't seem to be any parents watching them. That's... concerning. They shouldn't be out here all alone.
“Uh- Happy Halloween?” The older one says back, phrased like a question. It's not a trick-or-treat, but it'll do. Phil pulls out a handful of candy. Neither kid have a basket, but the older one hesitantly holds out a hand. Phil hands the candy over and turns to the younger one, smiling.
“And what are you supposed to be, mate?”
The boy promptly throws up on Phil's porch.

Tommy, Ranboo, and Tubbo are just trying to live. Sure, they're orphans, but they have a house and stable jobs and totally don't have a side hobby of being popular vigilantes in their area. However, they made the genius decision to live in a conjoined house, sharing a wall with their neighbours. Now they have to pay their bills AND deal with the neighbours that they haven't even met, just yelled at through the wall.

Just because he and his two sons, Wilbur and Technoblade, are all renowned villains and have committed many acts of terrorism doesn't mean he can't be a good parent. “I’m not. You’ll drop me off at school and I’ll leave as soon as you drive away.”Healing isn't linear. Tommy still has trauma from living with Dream, and the longer he stays with Technoblade, the clearer it is to see.

At the center of this new space was someone who looked a lot like his Tommy back home. At least from the half of their face he could see, as the other half was covered in what seemed to be a half piglin skull. The only notable difference from afar were their almost unnaturally bright and sharp purple eyes which stood in stark contrast to his Tommy’s big soulful baby blue ones.
“Take a picture, it will last longer” the stranger piped up after an uncomfortably long silence.
Ranboo’s cheeks dusted red and green. He was about to answer when he noticed some dialogue prompts floating in front of him. His mouth wouldn’t move until he selected one. He tried to do so regardless a few times before finally admitting defeat and acknowledging the floating text. His three dialogue options were:

At this point, Techno can hardly blame his foster parents for kicking him so quickly. He's certainly the consistent variable of the situations, so it'd be stupid to pin it fully on so many others. And, well, they all give the same excuse for giving him up.

Sometimes, Techno wants to snap back that it's too much for him to handle too. And he can't just throw himself away to leave it behind. But that wouldn't help anything, except getting him gone even quicker.
