Summary
After a nuclear disaster strikes Sinnoh, setting off a chain of events that forever alters the future of the region, Roark finds himself stuck in the middle of a horror movie scenario. There's zombies flooding the streets, volcanic ash is blocking out the sky, and communications are all but working. Armed with nothing but his trusty pickaxe and whatever he had left in the pantry, Roark abandons the safety of his apartment and wanders into the hostile unknown in search of supplies.
What he doesn't know, is that there's a lot more waiting for him out there than what he expects.

The kid's been smiling at his phone lately, blushing deep reds more than usual (the usual being never), and texting someone nearly all day everyday. He assumes that it's the most obvious answer: a relationship Silver managed to stumble into, probably with one of his friends.
However, as the days pass by and Roark slowly learns more and more about this supposed "boyfriend", he begins to suspect something is grossly wrong here.
Unfortunately, he turns out to be right.

Summary
Roark accidentally stumbles across a secret entrance in an alleyway due to the overcrowding of children on Halloween night. Unfortunately, this secret entrance leads to an underground casino/Halloween party filled with the most horrible of villains, ranging from vigilantes to world ending sociopaths. Just as he accepts his terrible fate, he finds that... they accept him with open arms? He then learns that, since it's Halloween night, they believe him to be the Groudon summoning mad geologist Maxie Geodeson, who decided to surprise them with an "extremely accurate costume of Roark".
Oh brother, this is going to be a loooong night.

Summary
There were two things in the entire world that could scare Geologists, if Roark recalled correctly. One was super eruptions, where an eruption was so violent it caused mass destruction of ecosystems in its surrounding area, spanning up to thousands of miles. The other were hidden faults, which could remain hidden for thousands of years, only to suddenly wake up when you least expect it.
Both of which Roark never really had to worry about, seeing that Mt. Coronet wasn't displaying any signs of activity and Oreburgh was far away from any discovered hidden faults.

Instead of shooting him point blank in the face for something-something probably mafia-related, he wants... to see his son? His son is Silver, because of fucking course it is. Before Roark gives the okay, he asks that they talk about this more. This leads to him having, essentially, a coffee date with the leader of the Rocket mafia and having complicated conversations with Silver without mentioning the horrific bloodshed during Team Rocket's prime.
Set as a sort of sequel to the CPS fic from Whumptober 2022.
