And…” Leo raised the empty mug. “They’ve noticed that it’s been five months since I’ve woken them up screaming in the middle of the night. Or; the one where Future!Leo somehow managed to luck out on a one in a million mere millisecond chance of a freak glitch in the space-time continuum that sends him back into the present, where the Invasion has been successfully driven back. And it looks like it was a one-way ticket travel.

Summary
Crossing paths wasn't all that strange for Crowley and Aziraphale. It was rather odd that those paths should cross on Spanish Navy Vessel in the Caribbean during a fight. Even stranger that the reasons they were there in the first place happen to be why they crossed paths. And seemingly staying together.
It's not exactly part of the arrangement, but maybe getting one Stede Bonnet, the less-than-well-known Gentleman Pirate, and the Infamous Blackbeard who would rather just be known as Ed to, perhaps, find what they're lookiing for in each other would get Crowley and Aziraphale out of the Caribbean and back to London all the sooner.
As you can well imagine, what with how incredibly competent the angel and demon are, it does not go as planned. -

Mirage is in pieces. Everything else is over, the battle won, but it doesn't feel like it when Noah only has a seemingly dead pile of silver metal to show for it. Optimus seems to believe he can; so maybe Mirage is more alive than he appears at first glance.

The part where he’s supposed to understand the depth of what Mirage has just told him, where he realizes the danger he’s in if Mirage so much as simply moves wrong at the wrong moment, the moment where he lets go and never comes near him again. He waits; waits for it all to click into place in that biological processor of his, waits for the moment he pulls his hands back to himself, waits for his face to morph into entirely justified fear.

He’s not prepared for Noah’s expression to go soft.
