Summary
Hal and Vada have left the Centarium behind, rejecting the destiny laid out before them and all the pain and suffering that it represented. Their new lives won't be easy, and their future is uncertain, but they won't have to face it alone. As long as they have each other, they know they can survive anything.
But the past is never quiet, and it may come calling sooner than either of them expects.
This is the sequel to Mr. Perfect and the Virgin, and it probably won't make much sense unless you read that story first.

At the legendary Centarium, Devotees train to serve the Nine-Armed Angel. Hal is the worst student at the Centarium. Vada is the best. When a punishment assignment forces them together, sparks fly and Hal discovers Vada's darkest, most intimate secret. Now like it or not, the two are tied together. Will they ever learn to survive each other, let alone all the outside forces standing in their way? And does Hal truly have any idea what he's walked into?

Summary
One of my oldest and most self-indulgent settings, basically just an excuse for master/servant kinkiness and Victorian aesthetics. There's Victorian fashion and social institutions, but modern technology, pretty much. I have some vague sci fi backstory in mind about Ishcala being a planet settled by Earth a long time ago before losing the capability for space travel, but it's little more than flavoring and not at all relevant to any of the actual stories.
