After the fall, Will thought he and Hannibal had settled into a standstill of safe domesticity living together in Paris until Hannibal had asked him to come to the opera with him, posing as his husband, which was just a cover, another part for them to play. A quite reasonable cover that Will should not be concerned about. It should not feel this real, this needed, and Will should not be so protective of the idea of it. Of him.
But all Will can feel is a resounding ache in his bones, Bedelia’s words echoing in the halls of his mind, every small action of Hannibal’s loud in his ears.

Summary
When Will sat up, the room wobbled and lights wheeled behind his closed eyes. Once they settled, he gripped the IV stand, got himself off the bed, and shuffled over to the door.
On the other side of it, a dead man lay on a plastic sheet. Hannibal knelt beside him with a kitchen knife in one hand. He looked up from his work and froze in place, still as stone. After a few seconds, Will saw the hitch of his chest as he started breathing again.

“I let you see once before.” Hannibal whispers, and the weight of the hurt behind the words is almost painful. He pauses, a weak cough tearing itself from waterlogged lungs, “You meant for us to die, dearest Will.”
Will hums softly, a gentle sound that seems to soothe Hannibal.
“Yes.” He breathes, unwilling, as it now seemed, to lie to him. Then, tilting Hannibal’s chin up slightly, Will presses their lips together.
Post-Fall, Hannibal and Will piece each other back together

Summary
Sometimes Hannibal thinks Will should have let him drown.
He feels dizzy, bad leg nearly buckling under him as the room spins around him in a red and white blur. Hannibal clutches at the counter with his free hand, weak as it is. He can’t fall– won’t let Will find him like that. The indignity might kill him.
Two arms wrap around his middle before he has a chance to fall, and Hannibal nearly jumps out of his skin. He ought to have heard– or smelled– Will coming, but he still finds himself surprised by the appearance of the other man behind him, solid and beautiful and sure in his becoming.
He seems more stable than Hannibal, these days.
Hannibal has trouble shaving. Will steps in.

“I’m sorry.”
“That’s a lie.” Hannibal rasps, lips soft on Will’s jaw. “I don’t regret what happened. If I’d died when we hit the water, I still would regret nothing. Death by your hand would be a beautiful thing, Will.”
Will runs his hand through Hannibal’s hair until he brings it to settle at the nape of his neck. He squeezes lightly, feeling how weak Hannibal is, lying against him. A beautiful thing. He thinks. It wouldn’t be hard to finish the job– just a little too much pressure. Hannibal wouldn’t fight it.
“You’re right, I don’t suppose I regret it.” Will kisses the top of his head. “You’re mine now.”
“Yours.”
On the run after their battle with the Red Dragon, Will struggles with the consequences of his choice.
Title is from Leonard Cohen's song Avalanche, which I feel fits Hannigram perfectly.Series

HOW TO READ:
each chapter will be a different poem. these poems are in no particular order. each will have a title, which will be in the end notes. some titles will be normal titles, some titles will be kind of like an optional final line to the poem, some will just be weird. either way, the title is meant to be read after you finish the poem, not before.

They fell back in a wicked embrace of limbs, mattress folding and dipping around their combined weight. They were so old; older than even the stars; but that didn’t dim the light in their eyes as they entangled together, trying to get as close as possible.
__________Once in a blue moon, Heaven and Hell turn a blind eye, and Crowley and Aziraphale get a night of freedom.

Crowley felt himself losing breath and gaining it again, moving in an ever-pitching wave with the sea of humans, Aziraphale’s hand clutched in his. They were all alive, love etched into every face. Tears trickled haphazardly here and there, falling from bright, joyous eyes.
The parade moved gently, pacing itself down Whickber Street and turning left, along lines blocked off from cars and railed away from the shops. And an angel and a demon walked with them.
__________Archangel Gabriel is wearing the sluttiest dress on the planet, there’s glitter absolutely everywhere, Muriel is aromantic, Crowley is a dramatic bastard, and it’s all about queer identity and acceptance.
Aziraphale’s first pride parade is gonna be one to remember.
