“One second, man. Have to get rid of some fucking–” Daniel looks back down to his phone, “..some.. uhm..”
He pauses. The phone rings, the person calling isn’t yet saved as a contact on this new device. Daniel would’ve hung up on them already, but he recognises the number as it lights up on his phone.
“I’ll have to call you back.”
All the protest on the other line, of which there was a lot, is silenced as Daniel hangs up. The only noise left is the persistent buzzing of his phone. Daniel takes a moment to psych himself up. He takes a deep breath and his thumb moves over the green button in the corner of his screen.
"Rachel!" Daniel yells, far louder than he intended to. Off to a great start. “Hi, hey, how are you doing?” He quickly moves the phone to his ear.
It’s quiet for a second.
“Hi, dad.”

Post book release, Daniel gets a visit from one of his estranged daughters. He's got parenting in the baggg, amiright?

i saw a prompt on tumbler the other day that was like "what if the JL didn't know the bats or their identities OR that they were related until some end of the world thing and i went yes absolutely- how can i make it all about my baby Damian tho? And so heres my attempt at that lol.
The Justice League's watched each robin come and go, and presumably grow, never questioning as to how Batman had a Robin. Or who they were. Were there multiple? They would respects the bats wishes at privacy. That all would be till the league has to help clean up metropolis post-alien invasion- and the newest Robin is missing. Everything’s okay in the end tho :)

Summary
Fics & ficlets I’ve had running through my head and want to put out in the ether. Mostly Matt whump with a little silliness down the road (esp as I drift more into Avengers crossovers).
Mostly stand-alone, though others in the series can add context for character interactions as that builds. But think of it more as snapshots over time instead of a continuous narrative.
Current theory is that it's how I process my own sensitive senses and chronic pain. But I'm at the point I keep cycling these in my head, re-editing them, and it's becoming a problem for focus and sleep. I'm hoping that getting them out of my head will help me stop #@!&ing thinking about them finally.
I feel like I’ve read just about every DD fanfic on this site at this point, and I'm sometimes unsure if my ideas are actually original versus just an amalgamation of all I’ve read Frankensteined together. To that effect, if you notice something is super similar to something else you've read, then my brain probably looped it in to my own story, so please let me know in the comments so I can take a look to see if I remember it, then credit it under 'remix/inspired by' accordingly.

Daredevil and the Avengers are captured and Matt is tortured in front of them in an effort to get information. Acid is poured on Matt's face, scarring him. The Avengers think that the acid blinded him and Matt isn't going to tell them different. Now Matt has to pretend that he is new to blindness and deal with the Avengers' overwhelming guilt and their gift-giving tendencies. The Avengers have even given him a smelly seeing-eye-dog! Matt just wants to be a vigilante again.

After Foggy and Karen left, the darkness seeped in. It found its way through every niche and crack and latched itself onto his skin, hanging there like leeches he didn’t bother to brush away. Nelson and Murdock had faded away into a distant memory, their old offices accumulating dust. His own apartment became less of a home and more of a base of operations. Minutes turned into hours and hours turned into days before he found himself crawling back to his couch, much less his bed that had gone without use in the past months--almost a year, since he had taken on The Hand, since he had lost her.
He realized, while standing on the edge of his city, that he had already given into the devil.The Avengers take in the fallen devil and try to help him get back up on his feet.
