Summary
“You know what, Stanley? I suppose negative sanctions don’t work well enough with you, hm?” His tone is flat, annoyed, but in a cool, icy kind of way rather than a raging fire. “Fine then, I do believe I have an idea that we both may appreciate. Allow me to show you, if you would, and step through the left door.”
See, here’s the thing. As much as Stanley hates the Narrator calling him a brat, it’s simply in his nature to act out. He means, really, how is he meant to follow every word he says without complaint? He seriously can’t be expected to just listen because he was told to.
Stanley is anything but blindly obedient.

Of course that’s his answer. Ah, no thank you, Stanley replies before his apprehension can make itself known. I’m just fine.
The Narrator only chuckles. “Shame.”

Summary
On his way to work Stanley listens to a lesser-known radio station for one specific talk show host who goes by the call name Narrator. When the video game he and his team have been working on auditions some voice actors he's suddenly struck with meeting the man face to face who for all this time was nothing but a voice. Can Stanley muster up the courage to ask out his sorta-celebrity crush before the projects through? And how many times can the Narrator insist on retakes in order to keep seeing the cute shy developer before people get suspicious?

Summary
“A light goes out, flickering slightly before vanishing from the Narrator’s awareness. The human should still be able to make their way by the backup lights that run along the edge where the walls meet the floor, but they freeze in place for a moment. Then there are hands grabbing onto a seam between wall panels and hauling the human up towards the ceiling. They poke at the wires for a moment, then grab hold of one and press it back into its socket; the connection reestablishes, and the light flickers back to life.”
Stanley is a skilled mechanic always looking for a new challenge. He jumps at the opportunity to explore a strange mechanical labyrinth, but it feels like there’s more to these empty hallways than meets the eye.
The Narrator has inhabited this shell for too long to even measure, but he’s never cared much about the humans who occasionally wander in. So then, why is this one different?

Fortunately, the game glitched at the last moment, and the Narrator is none the wiser.
Unfortunately, everything beyond the New Content door is still out there.Stanley has to do everything in his power (which isn't much) to keep both of them away from the Memory Zone so they never have to see that button again. No matter what.

On a good day, he would pace about the office, listening to him, picturing that they were somewhere else, somewhere outside [...] Maybe, they would walk around a little, at noon or at evening, he wasn't picky, and he would listen as the Narrator talked and talked, and when he stopped, he would ask him another question, prompting another half an hour of rambling. All of those and more... On a good day.
That just didn't happen to be today.
Stanley's tired of it all... Good thing his Narrator is there for him, then.

Summary
Once everyone graduated from high school and narrowed their focus to their own lives, no one noticed when Matthew disappeared and it took a little too late to realise he was gone. From that moment on there wasn't a moment of rest because with each revelation they knew less and less and were left with more questions weighing onto guilty shoulders. The 'why?' would always haunt them and with Matthew seemingly gone for good, everyone finally noticed a void inside them that could never be filled.
The void was biggest for Alfred, who without his twin felt like he was missing half of himself and it was his fault. It took Matthew leaving for everyone to finally realise it was them who drove him away in the first place... and now it couldn't be fixed.
OR, It took them a little too long to notice that someone was missing. That Matthew had left and simply walked out their lives, for good. Without any answers, the guilt eats them alive.
