Summary
Once they reach the mountain of indolence that Ed’s decorated their kitchen with, Izzy plants him there in front of the sink. His arms feel stuck to Ed’s waist, his feet rooted to the ground. He’s helpless as Ed shifts his hips back and hums contentedly at his findings.
“Gee, Izzy, is this all for me?” Ed asks coyly, all the innocence of a wolf matted in the blood of its last kill. “Is this my reward, Daddy?”
“Fucking Christ.” Izzy peels himself away from Edward to stand a safe several feet away from the source of his inevitable undoing.
When his stepson slacks on chores and puts more work on Izzy's wife, Izzy teaches him a lesson.

Summary
In the wake of this new normal Stede's return has established, Izzy finds himself left behind. He only has himself to blame, but he's trying his best.
They all are. Even Stede, who's trying to be a better Captain. Who's trying to maintain discipline. Order.
Izzy's pleased about it, until he realises that his methods don't seem very Stede-like at all. In fact, they remind him very strongly of someone else. A past Captain. One who should, by all accounts, be dead.
Izzy knows this, because when they mutinied against Hornigold he was the one who dealt the killing blow.
