When Edmund Blackadder, bloodied from shrapnel and ears ringing from the shelling, stumbled over Captain Darling's body caught in a tangle of barbed wire, he did not, despite many assurances towards it over the years, laugh, clap, and dance.
Instead, Blackadder took in the dark-wet definitely-not-mud stain spread all over Darling's uniformed chest, the pistol lax in his grip, his unseeing eyes turned up towards the overcast sky, and said, "oh, bloody buggering hell.""Quite," agreed Darling, squinting down at his own corpse; and, despite the unfortunate circumstances, took great pleasure in hearing Blackadder scream like a little girl.

Guillermo and Nandor on the roof :) As good as a romantic setting as any other. Or better.
Thank you to poppyfields for the lovely fic that inspired this image, I loved this little story with them on the roof. I may have taken some artistic licenses but I tried to convey the feeling :) And apologies for taking so long! Life got in the way.

Immediately following the events of s4, Guillermo leaves Staten Island to embark on a decade long journey of his own. He falls in love, he makes mistakes, and learns a hell of a lot about what it means to be dead. All the while he cannot help but compulsively write to Nandor, letters that never get sent.
When he returns home to a Nandor who cannot keep his nose out of a book, Guillermo has to reckon with his past and all of the ways things have changed. A story told in crumpled notes, love letters, and longing (past and present).

“That sounds serious,” Guillermo says, although the tone of his voice is far too playful for the situation. “Can I say something?”
Nandor draws close, concerned despite himself. How could this hateful place have laid Guillermo so low? What else could have happened to him?
But, despite the big breath Guillermo takes, as if preparing himself for an outpouring of words, he doesn’t speak. What he does do is grab Nandor by the front of his coat, tugging him down to press their lips together in a kiss.
