Stiles wrenched his hand free and took a step back, but before he could even think up a gameplan, he felt a prick in his neck and jerked away, reaching up to slap one hand against it and twisting in the same moment.
One of the others had come up behind him while he hadn’t been paying attention, and his vision began to swim even as his eyes caught sight of the half-empty syringe the guy was holding.

Stiles very slowly reached up with both hands and covered his neck as best he could before whispering, “Are you Vampires?”
“What? No.” Derek couldn’t help the small laugh of disbelief that slid up his throat, crossing his arms defensively over his chest. It didn’t matter that he was thousands of years old, or that he was bigger and stronger than Stiles was. Somehow, he was pretty sure once this conversation was over, Stiles was going to be able to crush him like a bug, and he hated that feeling.
“Didn’t you say he was smart?” Boyd asked.
“Hey,” Stiles insisted, turning to him with a glare but not removing his hands from his neck. “Vampires is a perfectly logical guess in this case. And he said I was right on the Supernatural front. Vampires are Supernatural.”
“He said you weren’t wrong,” Boyd corrected. “Not that you were right.”
“Well, the opposite of wrong is right, so...” Stiles gave him a look, but turned back to Derek relatively quickly, as if realizing he was delaying his own answers.
“We’re not Vampires,” Derek said, then let out a small sigh before admitting, “we’re immortal.”

Stiles Poppins, savin' the kids and their father. The ending of the story may feel the tiniest bit abrupt in regards to a couple of plot points, but really, the overall arc of the story is Stiles becoming part of the Hale family, so that's resolved nicely.

“Seriously,” he said loudly, “what’s your name?”
“It’s a secret,” the other informed him, still smiling impishly, then dove in for another kiss.
Derek decided to let it go for now, he had the rest of the night to get a name out of him.

Derek fights so hard to make sure that Stiles's right to come out on his own terms is upheld; for all that he blunders in the first fourth or so of the story, he's basically modern-day Prince Charming. And Stiles is precious and I just want to wrap him up, same as Derek, and tell him it's going to be okay (I want to do the same thing to Derek as well, actually). Derek, Erica, Isaac, and Boyd "adopt" Stiles as their Dorm Baby. Warning: Jackson takes being an asshole to horrible levels in this, but the way the eventual incident is foreshadowed throughout the story is absolutely brilliant.

“Oh yeah. We are now very close friends,” Stiles said, turning to grin at the Alpha.
He didn’t look impressed. Also like he was trying to figure out which parts of Stiles were the squishiest and easiest to eat through. That was concerning, he didn’t like that.

“Dude! Don’t open!” Stiles yelled almost hysterically, facing the console and kicking a panel again. “They’re gonna fucking kill me! They’re gonna think I killed this dude!” He motioned the figure lying dead on the floor.
There was a clang behind him and Stiles jerked to his feet, scrambling backwards and hitting the console, eyes locked on the entrance.
A tall, humanoid figure stepped through, aqua blue eyes rising and locking on Stiles before shifting to the dead alien on the floor.
Stiles’ heart thundered in his chest and he was positive he was about to fucking die.

A semi-sweet alternate universe/timeline fic which is unique in the sense that things don't just revert back to the way they were after Derek realizes the truth of what happened; he still has to make a choice, and both he and Stiles technically still lose something, but both of them are able to live with those losses because of what they gain. I'm just glad that Derek unknowingly pulled a Meriweather on himself and managed to save a "fix-it" wish for later, otherwise my heart would've broken harder for Stiles than it already did.

Derek hates people. He hates that they can’t just shut their damned mouths and listen to the music and then quietly depart the festival grounds and get drunk elsewhere. He hates when they block his way to the tour bus and pound on the windows, begging for a wave or a smile like they own part of him, just because they like his music. He hates when they touch him, like they think they get a pound of flesh with every download. They don’t – they get the song, and that should be enough for them.
In which Derek Hale is the drummer of a reasonably successful rock band who survives epically long summer festival tours by sticking to a routine and keeping to himself. Stiles, the charismatic lead singer of an up-and-coming dancecore pop punk band (whatever that means), is not meant to be part of that routine.

This fic also has the added bonus of Cora punching Kate in the face and knocking her out, and Kate being subsequently arrested, which I'll take over "uselessly resurrected on the show no show why you do this I do not 'love to hate her' I just flat-out hate her" any day.

An unfortunate incident at a petting zoo leaves Stiles unable to keep his child safe from the hunters that have been looking for them for months. Desperate, he returns to the one place he swore never to step foot in again -- Beacon Hills. But just because Derek has managed to turn himself into a decent Alpha while he's been gone doesn't mean Stiles is willing to forgive him for everything that happened six years before.
Besides. Wererabbits, as far as he can tell, don't need Alphas anyway.

Stiles as a wererabbit, after being pushed out of the pack by Derek. My favorite part of this story is Stiles pointing out to Derek that he didn't "give Stiles up out of love in order to save him," but rather he pushed Stiles away out of fear in order to save himself. Heartbreaking, and fantastic.

This series does a great job of blending the 'verses of Supernatural and Teen Wolf, especially since the Winchesters are really only mentioned in passing, while Stiles is a good hunter but not quite as burned up by the cause as his stepfamily is. Both Stiles and Derek are broken but not shattered, and while it starts with neither of them being gentle with each other, neither of them are downright hateful either. Very lovely, and very many much smokin' hot.

That someone was me. He said he’d had some drinks and couldn’t come grab it right then, so we agreed to meet at the station this morning. I didn’t realize ‘this morning’ meant the ass crack of dawn.”
“It’s not the ass crack of dawn, that was at five thirty-seven, according to the weather app on my phone.”
Stiles let out a sarcastic laugh and flipped his dad off. The sheriff gave him a look, but he didn’t reprimand him, clearly able to tell Stiles was miserable.

I laughed through this whole thing without feeling any sort of embarrassment squick; it was lovely to read.
