Summary
“Oh, gosh, I’m so sorry, Mister Stark. I thought that maybe the kids were playing a prank. I’m Rebecca Ascot from Midtown School of Science and Technology. You’re listed as Peter Parker’s secondary emergency contact, and he asked us to call you instead of his aunt, since she’s on shift.”
He stood abruptly, carefully slipping around Morgan’s newest Lego skyscraper and heading down the hall, to the guest room they’d appropriated as Pepper’s office. “Is he alright?”
“He is, but I do need someone to come pick him up. See, we’re having a blood drive, for the Red Cross, and-”
Tony didn’t even try to hide his laughter. “He tried to donate, and he passed out, didn’t he?”
“Uh, yes. How did you-”
“This happens a lot, actually.”

"It's D, Peter. We talked about this."
“No it’s not, Ned. Because if it were D then I would be wrong and that would put me at a 65% already on this practice exam and we haven’t even gotten through it all. I can’t fail another history exam, Ned! This last one is worth 60% of our grade! If I fail this final then I’ll fail the class and if I fail the class then I’ll be kicked out of school-”
“You’re top of our year, Peter.” You can almost hear Ned’s eye roll as he talks over Peter.
“- and if I’m kicked out of school then I’ll be forced to live on the streets exchanging sexual favors for money and I can’t do that, Ned! I wouldn’t even know what to charge- I mean, what’s the street value of a blow job, Ned? Do you know? Because I sure as shit don’t.” At this point Ned is outright giggling over Peter’s theatrics.

Summary
Peter knows it's been five years since the Snap. The Blip. Whatever. Knows he has to take time now that he's back again. Time to figure things out and grieve and heal.
But time is a funny thing.
Grief is a funny thing too, a different sort of funny-- cold and bitter and terribly ironic. You'd never immediately think someone who'd spent time in the Quantum Realm might have some answers, would you?
Or not. Probably not.
Sometimes help getting through grief, and living with it, comes from the most unlikely of places.

“W-what’s happening?” whispered Peter. He wiggled around on his bed, trying to shrug the hand off his shoulder. “Get off me!”
“Calm down, son,” said the other man. “We’re going to get you out of here.”
“Captain America? Get me out of here?” asked Peter, squinting his eyes and tilting his head. Iron Man hoisted him out of bed, and the covers went with him, hitting the floor by Peter’s feet. “Oh cool, I’m being kidnapped.”
“Not exactly the term I would use.”
