The Galra was suddenly leaning down – his yellow eyes only inches away from Lance’s. His words, a whisper in Lance’s ear: A threat; a promise. “Oh, I am not going to touch him. He is the half-breed son of the woman who murdered my sister. He is the leader of Voltron. No, I am not going to touch him…I am going to break him.”
Or: Two years after season 8, a Blade mission goes wrong, and Keith is perceived to be dead. Lance refuses to believe that, and goes in search of him. What he finds, however, is worse than anything he imagined.

“You better make the next words out of your mouth a damned good promise, Sharpshooter,” Keith warned him, a playful lilt to his tone despite the sounds of battle and chaos all around him being picked up by the space phone.
“Keith, don't do this while you're under fire!” Lance bit back, tone dropping lower as his temper flared. “Come back. I want you to come home.”
“W-what?” Keith stumbled. ”What did you just say?”
“For fuck's sake,” Lance cursed. “Come home, Keith.”

Summary
A blurry clip plays of the motorbike revving away from the lab, kicking up desert dust. You can clearly make out Lance’s high-pitched yelp when it accelerates. “These are the last known whereabouts of the three missing teenagers.” It cuts back to the reporter, face grim and heavy with tragedy. This time Keith’s mugshot is next to them. “While it’s not confirmed Kogane is involved, police have confirmed he is a person of interest. He is considered armed and dangerous, and the Garrison urges you to steer clear, and report it, if you see him.”
Six years into the war against the Galra, and after a major win, Allura and Shiro agree the team deserve some time off. The plan is simple: a month on Earth, to reunite with their families, and spend the time relaxing and soaking up all the comforts of home. Keith-- ignoring the pitying eyes of the team-- assumes there's no one waiting for him. Unfortunately for everyone, he's wrong.

Seven years ago, Lance went missing. The Garrison informs them of this a week after his disappearance. They never really got informed of the details, something to do with military confidentiality. All they know is that Lance had snuck out one night, got into a fight with some personnel dealing with some top secret mission, and promptly vanished.
And just like that, seven years pass. Lance turns eighteen, then nineteen, then twenty, and then they stop counting, and at twenty four he comes home.
Or: Seven years after leaving Earth, Lance comes home, but there's a part of him still left in space.

For some reason Katsuki said yes, but after a year of pure misery he decided he would have been better off telling them to shove their offer up their asses, because no amount of money was worth participating in this horror show.
But, he didn‘t exactly know that yet, did he? After all, who expects their first year in school after twelve years in one of the top schools in the world surrounded by heroes to be filled with villians and other shit.

No. It's such a simple word to say, but sometimes it just doesn't come as naturally to some people as it does for others. Sometimes that simple one-syllable word can become a noose around someone's neck that cuts off their airways and chokes every last bit of life from them. Keigo was never able to say 'no'. All his life, that word had brought him nothing but pain and punishment. Why would he want to say it now? Oh, for once in his life, he wanted to say that simple word... so badly.
