'People try that often, do they? I can't imagine why,' Tim says sarcastically, and yanks the collar of Elias's shirt so he can press his teeth into the vulnerable skin there. Elias makes another small – very small – sound.
'Melanie is making preparations to poison my tea as we speak,' he says. If you know what you're listening for, his voice is just the tiniest bit more breathless than before, and the triumph of it tastes like sweetness and Elias's expensive cologne against Tim's tongue.
'Good for her!' Tim says brightly. ‘I hope she succeeds.’

At the lowest Arthur has ever been, Kayne offers a deal: John will be freed from the King in Yellow, but he will kill someone that Arthur loves.
It's not a difficult choice at all.Both men are transported to a lighthouse near Innsmouth, Massachusetts. Bizarrely, they seem to have gotten something else out of the deal: John has a body, and learning to cope with his newfound corporeality is more of a challenge than he realized. They try to find some small comfort with one another, even as the shadows of Innsmouth grow around them - until an impossible face comes to town and shatters their illusions of safety.

Summary
John realizes what’s happening on the sixth loop.
In retrospect, it’s fucking embarrassing that it took him so long to figure it out—that this isn’t an illusion, and it’s not him finally going mad, and it’s not a dream or a trick or a torment devised by the King to fuck with them. It’s not like he doesn’t know that time is as malleable as clay in the hands of gods. The Dark World taught him many lessons that he’d like to forget, and that’s one of them.
It’s just been a little hard to concentrate when Arthur keeps fucking dying.

When John decides to stay with Arthur as he bleeds out on the King’s plateau, he expects them both to die. Instead, they find themselves brought back in time to the first moment they stepped onto the plateau—and Arthur has no recollection of their confrontation with the King. John soon realizes that they’re stuck in a time loop that restarts every time Arthur dies.

Summary
For Firelord Zuko and Ambassador Sokka, the war has ended and they spend their days now, four years after peace has flourished across the land, putting down cells of Ozai's sympathizers and forging their relationship behind closed doors. When the Gaang takes up a mission to squash the very last of Ozai's supporters, Zuko and Sokka are caught in a collapsing tunnel and buried alive. Seemingly escaping the kiss of death, they wake to a world that is not their own.
At the behest of spirit dabbling, both Sokka and Zuko are thrown into an alternate reality that mirrors their own. Sixteen again, they face the massive jarring changes of what could have been their lives had the war gone differently. Aang never woke up from the iceberg. The Southern Waterbenders were never targeted and the Southern Tribe is a close twin to the North's elitist personality. Iroh never lost Lu Ten to the siege of Ba Sing Se and the strangest change of all, Ozai is a loving parent to his beloved son.
Together, Sokka and Zuko need to find a way back to their own world and bodies, and figure out what the spirits intended for them in this strange dreamlike world.

Summary
No one quite tells you this about dying; it’s quite a gas. Sure, there’s the unfortunate parts, the pain and the embarrassment and the fact that one’s body doesn’t quite obey them like they wish. Alastor was always one for poise, even in his toughest moments. But there’s something about being ripped apart by nearly rabid dogs that made some…unfortunately involuntary things happen. Things he enjoyed out of others, sure, but hated in himself. Screams, begging…a frown.
Luckily, he was put out of his misery by a shot to the head.
The good parts about death happen after that last breath. It’s the sitting in one’s own cooling blood, parts of him missing in bits and pieces that make the strangers that find him vomit into the nearby bushes. It’s that even the officials didn’t want to touch him. It’s the complete and utter lack of pain as you float for a bit in…nothing. An addictive, joyful nothing.
Alastor had thought that was it. But he was wrong. Fantastically, deliciously, hilariously wrong.OR

Summary
When Steve gets trapped in the Upside Down, Vecna offers him a deal: become lieutenant of the monster armies and gain some of Vecna’s power, in exchange for being the bait to lure his friends back to rescue him. Steve takes the deal, believing wholeheartedly in the Party’s ability to save him and finally kill Vecna, but discovers quickly that his power to infiltrate the memories and dreams of people in the real world is very limited; in fact, he can only visit one person in his new monster form.
Thus begins Steve’s haunting of Eddie Munson, who, coincidentally, has been in love with Steve since they started secretly hooking up after a Halloween party in 1984.
