Aventurine's life after being adopted by Madam Jade has been nothing short of a dream. He has his own room at her vast estate, a warm bed, three square meals a day, and he's even being privately tutored and mentored by one of the shining stars of the Intelligentsia Guild, the illustrious and intimidatingly handsome Dr. Veritas Ratio.
The only thing is... Aventurine's got this vile itch under his skin. Evidently it's not so easy to leave Kakavasha behind, because what he's craving is Ratio's broad hands on him— hurting him, making him cry. Treating him like the Avgin whelp he still is, beneath all the neat, tailored clothes. His fantasies spur him to test the waters, seeing how far he can push Ratio, how easily he might be goaded into punishment fit for a Sigonian bed slave.

How did this person get in? And how did Veritas fail to see them? Sure, his office had enough space for a coffee table and a couple of armchairs but it wasn't all that big. Another thing that came to mind was that this was no student of his; students don't address him with the "doctor" prefix.
Without waiting for an answer, the voice continued, "All the same, I am a big fan of your work."
In a world where superheroes have been outlawed, an ex-villain tries to seek another out for some... enrichment, only to find themselves wrangling with the intricacies of their professional lives, celebrity statuses, and all the feelings in between. The first time they meet, Aventurine sees the mark before he sees Ratio’s face. Eighteen elegant words scrawled in bold, black ink tracing the curve of Ratio's exposed deltoid like an invitation. Who is Aventurine to not take the obvious bait?
“‘Does the conscious act of reading another's soulmark constitute as a defiance of fate or alignment with it?’” he reads aloud, lips twitching into a half-smile. “How befitting of a renowned scholar such as yourself. It’s very… unique.”
Whatever Aventurine said seems to pass some unspoken test, because Ratio reaches up and removes his headpiece. "A paradox, self-contained and self-contradictory. One worth contemplation, wouldn’t you agree?" Ratio’s eyes, a brilliant shade of rusty gold, catch the light as he inclines his elegant head and extends his hand. "I am Veritas Ratio."
“Aventurine of the Stratagems,” Aventurine answers, flashing a polished, professional smile as their hands clasp in a firm shake. “A pleasure to meet your acquaintance.”

As he looks at the grey haired man quietly sitting there, tall and muscular yet making himself as small as possible, he can't help but think this could be an answer to his prayers.
Those eyes are an answer to his prayers. The colour of the sands in his homeland and his favourite shade of green, shaped and formed exactly like his.

Alhaitham gets isekai'd into HSR's world with Kaveh but because of his eyes, he is mistaken for an Avgin and taken away. Aventurine rescues him but now they're causing each other brain damage. Ratio gets a new coworker from the genius society, Kaveh does not realise what he got into when he accepted the invitation from Nous

That long black and white hair, the hat, and the obviously metal body… He hit the jackpot.
It was someone he’d heard of spewed alongside curses from his former master, someone who brought much trouble to the IPC.
(Another option then. The IPC, a deal with the devil he knew, the Masked Fools, he’d probably drown under it all, or..)
“You’re.. Boothill.” He stated plainly, interest sparking in his eyes. “Galaxy Ranger, and most importantly… Someone who's been causing quite a lot of problems for the IPC.”

“Let me join you,” he impulsively asked.

The Ten Stonehearts. You’d have to be living under a rock if you didn’t know them. They protect the world as vampire hunters, vanquishing any that come to harm. Humans must be wary of them. Vampires nowadays can blend in with humans as easily as blood melting with rain. Topaz always jokes around with Aventurine about it, but as time goes on, it stops being a joke. She starts suspecting him after smelling a distinct scent on him. Something is going on.
Aventurine should’ve listened to her. He’s always abided by the Stonehearts’ laws, but this time, he let himself loose.
TLDR; Vampire Hunter Aventurine finds out that Ratio is a vampire and lets him do whatever he wants. He likes him, after all.
