Summary
After staking out Katniss Everdeen, the career pack and Peeta are treated to a chaotic and explosive morning. When the group wakes up to the arena violently shaking and collapsing they have no choice but to run.
What is one to do when they go from the games into the wilderness of Panem with no means of Capital help?
Now lost with no idea what to do the tributes from 1,2,11, and 12 will have to put up with each other and work together in order to survive. An alliance the both Clove and Cato are hesitant to trust, especially when the idea of hiding out in District 2 is suggested.
With skeletons hanging out in both their closets and their mutual goal of wanting to win the games being ripped from them they feel more lost than ever.
Can they keep it together and work with the others? Or will the floodgates fall and all the secrets come out?

Summary
You can't go back the way you came / full speed ahead
Whatever happens in the end, for District 2 it all comes down to this. Thresh kills Clove, and Cato falls apart, and this game was never theirs. Except — maybe — it is.
Cato and Clove make it to the final two, but the Capitol revokes the rule change anyway. Whichever way the wind blows -- whether Clove strikes first, or Cato does -- this is not a happy ending.

He knows it like he knows when one of his mother’s moods is coming on, like he knows which days his father will step in and which days he will leave the house and go for one of his long walks, unable to prevent what’s occurring under his roof. He knows it maybe before she knows it herself, but she gets there quickly, and is shouting, begging to volunteer before the rest of the district can even comprehend what’s happened.
He’s in the middle of planning how to best sneak bread to her family when his name is called, too.
