There's gotta be someone out there who's not an ex-con, is over the age of 20 but not over the age of 30, who is good at playing keyboard or drums or guitar or can sing!” Wooyoung grins, splitting the stack of fliers in half between them. “Even though we have no funding, no name, and no equipment, we'll find some people.”

Heather finds out her mom is pregnant again, this time by that jerk Bo, and their already strained relationship all but crumbles. Fortunately, she and Lily have a good support system and she finds comfort with her friends and (of course!) Ray, as well as in her writing. Though she doesn't understand why (or where) it all went so wrong, she tries to remain hopeful that eventually, she and her little sister will not only reconcile with their mother, but finally get to experience life as a (semi?) normal family … because is that *really* SO much for a girl to ask???!!!
a.k.a. lots of Ray x Heather (and Lilybug) fluff and a generous helping of family drama; there is also a Dodge x Natalie storyline but it's more background and kind of woven throughout
