From unlikely circumstances, friendship will bloom, and what was once thought to be hatred may well get flipped upside-down.

Also, who the hell made Steve cry? Eddie demands a duel with whoever was mean to his maybe-future friend.
Furthermore, Eddie now identifies as a cat person because fuck these Demodogs.

So maybe he had been getting headaches and nosebleeds a little more frequently then usual but that wasn’t really an issue, what with having had three concussions over the past few years. Headaches and bloody noses just weren’t really that big of a deal to him.
And so what if the increase in nightmares that he had, had that week were leaving him more sleep deprived than usual. It was probably just stress. Max being cursed, Chrissy, Fred and Patrick’s murders, Jason, all of those things would cause extra stress.
And maybe if he had actually gotten more then three hours of broken up sleep a night he would have dealt with this better.

Will's been acting..strange. more distant from Mike, Mike hates this. He doesn't know WHY Will is acting this way or what would make him act this way. Is it vecna? The upside down? Or, something deeper than that, more emotional, more..serious. More personal. Whatever it is, Mike wants to know why and wants to make it stop while also focusing on his failing relationship with eleven. Meanwhile, eleven is focused on her training. Dustin is busy grieving Eddie, Max is in a coma. Still. And Will himself is dealing with everything all at once. From an overbearing and protective mother to his feelings and emotions towards Mike. And Will is pissed off at him. He is. Really.
But his cheeks are pink and his eyes are sweet and it is really fucking difficult to hate him right now.
Screw Mike Wheeler and his fucking gentleness that makes everything too hard for Will.

Billy remembers a too wide ocean and a red smile. There's driftwood piled to the left of him, a fashioned lump of bark that promises use no one will ever get out of it. The sun is as hot and present as it ever was, almost too bright but then the sea would rise instead of lengthen, spread through the sun and douse it in water. He understands that the sun and the sea mix, that you cannot have one without the other and in his most private moments he will forget about weakness and fire that burns. He will think of the way a sun looks when its misty with salt, there, bright and present but dappled by its counterpart. Once, the tabletop in front of him was sticky with whiskey and unsaid words. 'What a pair we make', he thinks and then hears, softly in his mother's voice, 'I promised you that the sun would rise again'. He looks up at Steve.
