Summary
After dozens of resets of abuse, genocide runs, tampering with the world itself, the timeline came to collapse, finally shattering as Chara, the fallen child, against all odds, absorbed the six human souls, and planned to use them to completely destroy the timeline once and for all.
But they were stopped.
A mysterious strange man prevented the end by Chara's hand, and trapped them in the Void in his place, forcefully erasing the timeline himself. A reset wouldn't be enough. A clean slate was needed.
But this would change everything. Frisk's entire being was shifted, everyone, minus Chara, had the previous timeline erased from their memories, and the timeframe, researcher in charge, and results of the DT Experiments were entirely changed to something worse, something much darker than the Amalgamates that came before.
It is here where Undead Tale picks up, and follows the stories of the many characters as they try to survive in this new apocalyptic scenario they find themselves in.

The majority of the human race is colorblind, until they find their Soul Mate. Plenty will actively try to find theirs for that reason, but Eric couldn't care less. The world looked as monotonous as life was, and finding his Soul Mate wouldn't change that.
But of course, it did.
If only for a second.
Burdened by an odd feeling of loss in his soul, Sans is slowly losing more than he is willing to face. The more he learns about that human the more hope he feels of finding happiness. Whether it comes in time or after his time has run out, is yet to be seen.-

Summary
Frisk made a promise to her friend. Though she didn't know what it meant at the time, she promised to never reset the timeline again. The concept of resets was strange to her, she believed it an easy enough promise. No matter what, she was determined to keep it.
Sans made a promise to her in return. He would do everything in his power to keep his little human safe. No matter what happened to them after the barrier broke and she became public enemy #1, he managed to keep his promise too.
Eight years later and both promises have been kept.
But promises are made to be broken, aren't they?
