Still, for most of her life, it’s only been a story in the paper. This is a person right in front of their eyes, shackled to the wall by a chain around her throat like a wild animal.
“Our prize fighter,” the witch calls from behind them. Jen doesn’t need to turn to see that she’s smirking. “Pretty little thing, isn’t she? She’s a purebred, too, not a mutt or a turncoat.”
Lilia’s eyes go wide, shooting her lover a look of pure disgust. Jen nods, but squeezes her wrist firmly in warning. They’ve known each other for long enough now that she doesn’t need words to convey her message, simply a touch and a gaze.

Phainon lets out a sigh, watching as the Chimera nestled in Mydei’s arms emits a soft purring sound, utterly content. The others have settled back into place—one draped across Mydei’s lap, two curled by each of his thighs, and the blue one still slung over his bare shoulder like a living, breathing scarf.
Then, unexpectedly, Phainon murmurs, almost to himself, “I want that too.”
Mydei looks up. “You want to hold a Chimera?”
But Phainon just gives him that look—the one he’s perfected ever since discovering Mydei’s soft spot for it.

Conan was satisfied with his life living under his Master, the leader of a clan of vampires. It was painful, but comforting. Stressful, but predictable. There wasn't any other way he could imagine living like. Though he was a werewolf, he had little inclination to interact with others of his species. Unless it was what Master wanted.
His life was torn away from him as a group of werewolves attacked the clan and took him against his will. Suddenly thrusted into a foreign environment, instincts and habits clash has Conan does his best to survive and make it back to where he belongs.

Kaiden didn't know what to expect when they raided the leaders of the werewolf traffickers and werewolf fighting ring. An aggressive, near feral, wounded omega werewolf was not on the top of that list. Very little of this werewolf sat right with him. But, it didn't change that he was hurt and needed help, and Kaiden would do his best, as pack alpha, to provide.

Inuzuka Miyu hadn't meant to have a baby with Hatake Kakashi. It was honestly just a post-mission one-night-stand.
Now, usually, Inuzukas don't marry. Primary custody just goes to the mother. Secondary to the Clan. Any man is welcome to pitch in, even to move in if hey wanted (so long as the mother allowed it, which they generally did), but fathers are mostly told out of politeness. If the mother even knew who the father was, that is.
But it takes a special kind of fool to get between an Hatake and their cub. Which Miyu and Tsume aren't.
The question of custody stays, though.
It does take Kakashi an embarrassing amount of time to twig in that the drawn out custody battle for Raiden had shifted, and that he was fighting Tsume for custody of himself.

With no guarantee of a continued happy ending, the puppet- one Gordon Freeman- decides that he’ll simply have to build it himself, and the ensuing events result in a domino effect that leaves him stressed, tired, and in the possession of a new found family.
He really, really hopes this is not nearly as messy as the last time he made an impulse decision like this.

Okhema Community Shelter, a popular stop for many prospective pet owners within Okhema City. It was the biggest of all the shelters, and held a larger variety of animals compared to others.
There was one dog in particular, a white Samoyed that was twice as big as a normal pup of the same breed, his tail sitting long and straight as opposed to curled against his back.
His size, though, was nothing compared to the blue eyes and unique sun pattern on the side of his neck covered by a collar that separated his fur from his top and bottom, a line of gold circling his chest.
That dog is named Phainon.
