Summary
History remembers her as the Champion of Kirkwall. Untouchable, bold, larger-than-life in every conceivable way.
Journey Hawke doesn't lift a finger to correct the more outlandish rumours. She's too busy managing her own chaos, and fueling a continental rebellion can be exceedingly busy work. If the rest of Thedas believes her to be ten feet tall with lightning shooting from her eyes, she's quite content with that. It's an easier image to manage than the truth, and flashy heroes make for far better stories than mouthy apostates with unpopular opinions and no sense of self preservation.
It's a good thing she has Varric. She'd be screwed otherwise.
