Summary
He was no longer a Decepticon.
He had no power.
He was alone.
And he had no one around.
He invented and let out one of his missiles from its port in his arm, he took it in his servo and stared at it. He thought of all the times he had failed, how many times he had taken beatings from Megatron, how foolish he was about thinking he could ever lead the Decepticons. He looked at the missile sadly, thinking there wasn’t really any reason for him to live. His trine had probably gone to get help for not, and even if they did care about him he did not want to burden them anymore.
He extended his arm which held the missile and harshly pulled it back towards himself straight in towards his spark chamber.
Yet suddenly he was stopped.

The Yawning Cavern could not be found on any map.
Humans avoided this place, some subconscious command turning them away from its borders.
Even to the Decepticons’ powerful scanners and satellites, it was a great writhing mass just slightly to the left of the world, a thing that left technology sparking and spitting static. It slipped away from any attempts at marking it down as an existing location.
But, the Nemesis’ energon radar had detected some in the area—the biggest hoard since Cybertron’s great mines—so they had to investigate. Even Megatron came along to secure the potential mine. Starscream’s powerful energon-seeking equipment struggled to pinpoint the exact location, so they brought part of the seeker armada to scour the area.
Big mistake.
