Will they love?
Will they detest?
Courage is the very thing that drives mankind forward. It guides wisdom, and inspires power. However, courage resonates within every individual. But only those who harness it keep the flame burning. These are the ones that change the world. True courage, though rare, can never be silenced. Courage guides all those who bear it, but no one asks what happens when courage is all you have left; when every friend leaves, every door closes, and only the title ‘hero’ remains.

He tried to get comfortable, his eye watching Wild as the vet tried to sleep, Twilight’s words replaying in his head, over and over. Wild will be fine. Wild will be fine. Wild will be fine…

Link has gone through it; he woke up without any memory of who he was or where he was, was told to save the world by some dead king, did it and saved Hyrule and Zelda, accidentally awoke an evil mummy, got the arm of some dead king (but a different dead king from 10,000 years ago), saved Hyrule AGAIN, reversed Zelda from her new dragon form by losing said other dead king's arm, leaving him an amputee and unable to use a sword, gained Mineru's secret stone and became the sage of spirit, which allowed him to make his own ghost-arm and use a sword again. Now 8 strangers are claiming to know him. He is so tired.
--OR--
Wild leaves for TOTK, and after not seeing him for 7 months, he returns and the Chain find him missing an arm, even more traumatized (they didn't know that was possible), and with a fancy new purple stone. But the weirdest, and scariest, part, is that he doesn't remember who they are.

"So," Renado cleared his throat. "I heard you haven't been feeling very well."
All eyes suddenly fixated on Legend. He felt like he might choke.
Stammering, his attempts at words gave out to a weak little noise that caught in his throat.
Renado hummed, while Time got a bit more comfortable on one of the seats, idly playing with his wristwatch. It seems that they all somehow collectively knew that they'd be here for quite some time.
"Have you been using your heating packs regularly?" Renado slowly approached Legend akin to how one would to a forest animal. At this very moment, Legend felt like one.

It didn’t matter that the woman had been harassing Warriors or that Legend had tried to solve the issue diplomatically several times. The crowd had already decided he was guilty. The portal closed behind Legend, and he had to sit down for a minute, head in his hands. The cold of night was somehow amplified by his brothers’ absence, and he shivered, rubbing his hands against his arms. What he wouldn’t give to be back in the Chain, sitting around the campfire and sharing stories from their adventures.
Legend has lived through a lot of goodbyes, and he has always known his time with the Chain was limited. That he'd have to go back to his own era one day. That doesn't make it easier to accept.

When you travel with eight other people, who share the same name with you, there’s gonna be a need for a nicknames to derifience between them. But there are no such needs for nicknames with relatives. Even, when said relatives were long dead and only their skeletons remain anymore.
Legend’s expression dropped, the small smile as a greeting disappering from his faces and replacing it, with a sad and tired expression. Like he was carrying the weight of a whole world. He kinda was, but that was a different kind of weight.
He sigh, knowing that he was never going to get an answer. But if he pretended long enough, waited long enough for a response, he could pretend that he was having a conversation with his uncle, despite being one sided.
