      En Puella Magi Madoka Magica, las chicas mágicas luchan contra monstruos llamados brujas, de forma muy similar a como los superhéroes luchan contra los supervillanos en el MCU. Lo que nadie se da cuenta hasta que es demasiado tarde es que cuando una Chica Mágica pierde la esperanza y sucumbe a la desesperación, se convierte en bruja. Se convierte en aquello contra lo que luchaba, y una vez que eso sucede, no hay vuelta atrás. Nunca. Seguirá siendo una bruja hasta que otra chica mágica la mate. Y eso es lo que le pasó a Loki: cayó en la desesperación y se convirtió en villano, y pase lo que pase después de los eventos de Los Vengadores, no hay vuelta atrás (salvo un milagro). La historia terminó donde terminó porque fue el final de Loki, la chica mágica, y el comienzo de Loki, la bruja.

    Post-“The Dark World,” Loki searches for the Soul Gem in order to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and gain omnipotence. He's got to find it before Thanos catches up with him--nothing else can protect Loki from the power of the Mad Titan.

    After all, Thanos will probably be pretty angry. Loki did steal the other five gems out from under the Titan’s nose. Why let Thanos become omnipotent, when it could be Loki instead?

    To find the Soul Gem and complete his many and various schemes, Loki will have to lie, cheat and manipulate everyone around him. But then, that’s half the fun …

    Or it used to be. After all that Loki’s been through, the fun is wearing a bit thin. So when his schemes leave Loki staying at Thor and Jane’s little house on Midgard, and he starts to feel genuinely okay for the first time in more than a century, it might not be so easy to keep hurting those who seem to ... care for him.

    But can anything short of omnipotence ever really be enough, now that Loki’s so close to getting it?
