Summary
Merlin comes to Camelot, looking for a fresh start, but he doesn't expect to find death waiting him around each corner, unexpected allies, and unforeseen enemies.
His relationship with Arthur was a tough one at first, but after time with good and bad time intertwining their fates, they become unlikely friends, but could it become more? But with the underlying tones/metaphor of homophobia in the story of "Merlin", their budding affection towards each other is slow and full of denial.

Story Summary:
Now that Merlin and Arthur have dealt with Arthur’s return from the dead, and with their mutual love for one another, and also with that mild inconvenience of having to save the Northern Hemisphere from an ancient magical foe, they're finally able to live their lives like any two normal people in love.All they want is to forget the past, to have a long indulgent holiday road-tripping around the world seeing the sights together as a newly engaged couple, and to get married in Avalon the coming summer on the Solstice.
Surely, that’s not too much to ask. I mean, things always went totally to plan for them before, right?
Story contains: Banter, humor, misadventure, old friends and new friends, canon-level peril, fluff and feels, a happily ever after at the end, and love. Lots and lots of love.

Arthur’s destiny was to become king and bring back magic. Oh, Merlin is also called Emrys by the druids which just means immortal.
That’s your summary of the day, makes sense. Great, on with the story…

The story begins at S5 Ep6 after Morgana took Guinevere and attempted to manipulate her with the mandrakes (it doesn't work in this fic though). Guinevere is deeply affected by her brother Elyan's death and decides she needs a big change in her life. This ultimately leads to Gwaine/Merlin stuff and then Merlin/Arthur stuff too. This is overall a Merthur slowburn fic though so yeah. Not totally sure the direction ima go in but we'll see.
